the first time i saw it i wanted the thing to work. it looked like it is was a great way to boil eggs - e.g. no hot water splashing around and an easy way to store the eggs after the boiling was complete.

After just a few weeks the glue started to give. The penguins are comprised of two halves: top and bottom. On one of the penguins the glue that held the two halves together started to fail so although it’s still able to hold an egg it’s not snug anymore and is kinda sketchy to use. I tried using a hot glue gun on it since I had one but that melted after the first use. I’ll probably just use metal wire or something. Aside from that these are great and definitely help with making eggs especially if you want them soft boiled. It eliminates movement so the eggs don’t crack. The only improvement would be if the handle was a bit longer, like another 6”.

Einen Nachteil hat der Halter. Die heißen Eier lassen sich nur schwer auslösen ohne sich die Finger zu verbrennen. Ich nehme einen Eßlöffel zur Hilfe und dann sind die Finger geschont. Tolle Sache.
