Much of the information this work provides is derived from Erikson, but proper due is given to Freud, Piaget, and Kohlberg among others. Behavorists such as Pavlov, Skinner, and Bandura are not given focus, nor for that matter is the sociocultural theory of Vygotsky. Nontheless, Dr. Rose has artfully engaged the reader to want to understand more fully those aspects of human behavior influenced by both natural design and natural progression. This endeavor may serve to provide the reader with a sense of meaning heretofore lacking in one's understanding of human growth and development.
I highly recommend this work both to parents and to professionals in the field.
