Seven time New York Times bestselling author John Weisman is one of a select company of authors to have their books on both the Times nonfiction and fiction bestseller lists. He pioneered coverage of Naval Special Warfare when he co-authored the No. 1 NY Times bestseller "Rogue Warrior," then conceived, created, developed, and wrote eight best-selling Rogue sequels.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Seymour Hersh called his 2004 novel "Jack in the Box" 'The insider's insider spy novel.'

Bestselling author Joseph Wambaugh says of Weisman, "Nobody writes better about the dark, dirty, and dangerous world of the CIA..."

Former CIA case officer and bestselling author Robert Baer says, "John Weisman takes the reader into the very heart of CIA and its special operations."

John's latest special operations novel based on true events was "KBL - KILL BIN LADEN." Sourced and reported as if it were nonfiction, the book was released in November 2011 to universally laudatory reviews.

Bing West, America's foremost writer on war-fighting called "KBL" "An extraordinary look inside Special Operations Fores at the team level." The Iron Mountain Daily News wrote, "Weisman has penned an account that, though technically a work of fiction, resonates with credibility."

And despite two alleged "nonfiction" accounts of Operation Neptune Spear, there are more than a few Special Operations Forces warriors who describe Weisman's "KBL: Kill Bin Laden" as the book that comes closest to holistically capturing the political and military gestalt surrounding the historic Abbottabad raid.

John Weisman lives on Florida's Gulf Coast.

I have read almost every book by Richard and love them all. Of course some are better than others, but all entertain you and make you experience something special. I just wish there was more to read. Love a good action thriller.

I admit I'm a huge Marcinko fan. This is one of my favorite stories, so I was looking forward to re-reading it on my Kindle. The story is as good as I recall, I loved the international travel as he hopped between Russia, France, and Israel. The sneak and peek as he broke into the villains office in Paris is a classic. I appreciated that even when his team was taken away he still managed to form a new, small team to take care of business. Teamwork!

I have to give it a ding due to the Kindle formatting. Marcinko ought to find whoever converted this to the Kindle and layout some serious Rogue justice on them. The book was filled with mis-spellings, and not just a few. I lost count before I was even a third of the way into the book. I could tell a lot of these were due to OCR translations, for example one characters name of Allen was routinely misspelled as A11en (ones instead of L's).

None of the footnotes had links to them, there was just a clump of footnotes at the end of each chapter and you had no clue what text it linked to.

A great book, I wouldn't let the formatting issues stop you from getting it, just be prepared to be annoyed on occasion.

“Demo Dick” Marcinko cranks out another spell-binding, kick ass adventure! He is such a combination of rough, almost barbaric yet highly intelligent and sophisticated action. His attention to detail rivals any other writer of this genre which make his stories totally believable.

Good book, this book was a little different compared to the others I've read. But still intertwining. I hope to read all of Marcinko's books.

Richard Marcinko is a Seal and a hero and one of the people who formed Seal Team Six. All of his books are good reads. The language is a little out there but all hard core heroes use a lot of colorful language. The Seals are a tough bunch of guys and do a lot for this country and seldom get the recognition that they deserve. I am on the fourth in this series and really enjoy them.

Great stories again and again! I would like a little less repetition on things though. As a fan of these books(I've been reading them since my first taste of Rogue Warrior in my senior year of Highschool 93-94), I know all the stories and so to repeat them when they are relevant to the next story, gets a little bit boring to be honest. If someone starts reading this series in the middle, that's their problem. In any book series, you will never be able to follow a storyline.
All in all great book! Can't wait for the next.

This volume of the Rogue Warrior series starts out interesting enough, but overall, this was a major disappointment. I had to struggle through most of this book. You are still along for the ride at the beginning as ol' Demo Dick and company work to take down a band of terrorists holding an airliner full of hostages. Unfortunately, Capt. Dick is royally screwed shortly within the next chapter or two. From there, that's when the interest level begins to wane. Sure, you share in Demo Dick's outrage, but the intensity level just isn't there from then on.
