Who Should Read This Book?
This book will be your toolkit for designing bots, a book you can go back to when tackling your own bot design. We will go into the details of the design process, and give concrete examples of designing bots for B2B and B2C use cases. We will go over everything from use case specification to actual designing of a bot, all the way to validating our design with users.
This book will arm you with a good understanding of which use cases are better suited for bots and how you, as a product manager, can use bots to expose and extend your products. We will provide examples of how to write the specification for a good conversational interface, and share best practices on product decisions that have led to user delight.
This book will give you an overview of the bot ecosystem, the opportunities that it offers to you, the engagement and monetization models this interface facilitates, and the competitive advantage it has over web and mobile. This book is also full of tips from fellow entrepreneurs, sharing their experiences while building a bot business.
Creating Conversational Experiences :
- This book focuses on the design of a conversational user interface, but also covers considerations such as distribution, marketing, architecture, and monetization.
- If you are considering building a bot or learning how to design a conversational interface, this book is for you.

Beginning with the expected "What are Bots," the book moves into considering when bots are appropriate ("use cases" for bots), provides an introduction to artificial intelligence, discusses the design of conversations, and also provides an overview of tools to use when building a bot - from simple entry points to bot software development kits.
Any book on a topic evolving as rapidly as this will of necessity risk becoming dated, and some of the material in this book will certainly do so within a year or two. However, there is still sufficient meat to make the book an excellent introduction to the world of bots and conversational interfaces for some time to come.
Inspires journey towards understanding the concepts and having the knowledge of wide range of available services resulting possibly into own chatbot. Even people focused mostly on technical aspects of chatbots can use this book as general inspiration and overview of competing services.
As a member of chatbot development team I also appreciate real life examples of building dialogs by trial and error and how much time reader may save by using chatbot mockup during this process.
