About this item
- True Collagen Peptides - Many 'bone broth' proteins are simply collagen added to protein. Dairy-free PurePaleo contains complete proteins and collagen-specific amino acids, which may support connective tissue.*
- 21 Grams Of Protein From Hydrobeef - HydroBEEF is over 97% pure protein, packed with branched chain amino acids, which are critical for recovery. This product contains beef from animals raised in Sweden free of any GMO grains, grasses, and ensilage.*
- Support Workouts - PurePaleo has a Nitrogen Score over 100 (higher than whey) making it very easily digestible and allows the protein to be hydrolyzed into more peptides, resulting in easier absorption and assimilation.*
- Higher Standards. Better Results - Designs for Health maintains a strict, no-compromises approach to quality raw material selection. We never cut corners with substandard ingredients. This product is made with non-GMO ingredients, and is gluten, dairy, and hormone free.*
- Clinically-Trusted Care - DFH is the #1 practitioner supplement brand recommended by functional medicine professionals and the #1 practitioner supplement brand personally trusted by functional medicine professionals.**

It took some fiddling with the smoothie recipe, but now it consistently blends well with the other ingredients. If you try to mix it with just water, it's quite possible that you get the "soup" with chunks of protein floating around. It tastes okay that way but doesn't really look appetizing. The trick is to add some fat to the mix - MCT oil is what I use, along with a couple raw eggs. Then maybe a super greens kind of supplement (chocolate flavored works best with this vanilla protein powder) and occasionally some unmodified potato starch (resistant starch!). Then I blend in the Magic Bullet. It's actually super tasty, and now I look forward to 'breakfast' every morning.
Yes, the price is pretty steep, but this is high quality stuff. And one canister will last several weeks of daily use. I use a dose and a half (i.e. 3 tablespoons) each morning, and I get about 3 weeks of smoothies out of it. If you only use the standard dose, there are 30 servings per canister. 27g (1 serving) of high quality protein for breakfast every morning for a month for ~$80 = $2.66 per breakfast. That's downright affordable.
If you want to make a meal out of it, add Shin black ramen and a couple of hard boiled eggs! If you’re staying away from processed food, just add some plain rice stock noodles and fresh veggies instead.
I feel full until first break and I have plenty of energy to work.
I like it.
