Desire Unmatched is book 4 of the Coded For Love series by Lynne Silver. It can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading them in order so that you'll be able know the updated characters from the previous 3 books.
Xander Bristack is the ultimate soldier but when he is taken by a group somewhat affiliated to Dr. Paulsen who wants to create super soldiers by kidnapping the soldiers and women who are in the Program. When he rescued Emma from Paulsen's lab, he felt the attraction with her that meant they were a match. But when he is kidnapped its Emma that he dreams about every morning to fill his cup. It's not mentioned that the eggs Paulsen took from Emma would be later implanted or not but the kidnappers no longer need Dr. Paulsen so he's eliminated.
I really liked how the author was able to envision Xander's senses to help he realize that he's in France just by closing his eyes and listening and the smells outside. Xander eventually escapes and makes his way back to the Program compound and he finds Emma easily because of his match with her.
Emma is now back in college while staying at the compound and has made a few friends but its when Xander shows up at the movie theater that things really start to heat up. For the rest of the book both Emma and Xander explore their attraction with each other while she teaches him all the things he's missed because of his father's constant pushing to be the ultimate soldier. (I would have loved to give him some of what Xander went through while in the hands of the Terrorists). There is a lot of sex but its fun to read how he catches on very quickly thru the tutelage of Emma.
Desire Unmatched is a wonderful addition to the Coded For Love series.
'Desire Unmatched' by Lynne Silver is book four in the "Coded for Love Book" series. This is the story of Xander Bristack and Emma Harrison. This can be read as a standalone book but this has been a great serires and it does revieference some things in ohter books....so you might want to think about reading the others.
Xander is part of the generic built lethal soldier group. Xander feels with his background and generic background he will never love anyone. Xander was part of the team that helped save Emma when she was taken to possible be used as a DNA match for one of the generic built soldiers to bread children. Which her DNA matches Xander and she is attracted to him. When she was first rescued by him he held her and kissed her and made her feel safe. Now he tries to avoid her and run from her. But when Xander is kidnapped and hurt she decided to not leave his side.
I did enjoy Xander and how he was fighting his feelings and sometimes it seemed at a loss of what to do. This was a great book to read!
Xander and Emma met when he and Rowan rescued Adam and then Samara and Luca from Polson. Xander immediately felt right to Emma and wouldn't leave her side for the first 24 hours. After that he didn't want to be near her.
She knew she was his match and after an awful one time of sex he ran off. It wasn't until he was kidnapped that she admitted to being his match to Shep.
When he got back to the compound she figured out very quickly why Xander was so quiet and it wasn't good. For the first time in his life, Xander had someone who loved him stand up for him. And he wasn't letting go.
This isn't much information as far as a review but if you've read any of these books you know Xander and you'll understand why I don't want to tell you much more.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Program: an organization of elite soldiers with superior strength, agility, and intellect. These men put their lives on the line to execute the government’s most dangerous missions.
Xander Bristack aka Terminator is known as the coldest, most lethal soldier in the program is close to know one. He trains from rising to end of the day and has no plans of ever finding a match. He has no desire to take on a family. Emma Harrison was rescued when the elite soldiers went and rescued Dr. Samara Jones and her son, Luca were saved from Dr. Paulson's secret Lab where they were being held captive. Even after all she endured in captivity she finds herself drawn to the taciturn Soldier. After a very brief encounter after which Xander avoids Emma. Then Xander is captured by Paulson and a group of Terrorist. Tortured and starved Xander knows time is running out and as no one knows where he is it up to him to get himself out and to safety. Emma lives day to day trying to get through each until Xander is once again safe. She also begins to see what she is up against to win Xander's heart when she meets his father.
This to me is the best book in the series so far. The suspense and tension will keep you on the edge of your seat. I thought I would read the brief excerpt at the end of book 3, Conquered Match to see what would happen next and found the two chapter excerpt was not enough. The love scenes are so hot the burn off the pages. Xander and Emma are wonderful characters. Each strong in their own way. One thing you will clap over is the scene involving Emma and Xander's parents. I just wanted to cheer. This is the fourth book in the series and can be read as a stand-alone with very little trouble. Don't miss this wonderful book or any of the series. If you like Christine Feehan's Game series you will love this series as well. My rating is 5 out of 5 stars.
