Monsieur Martinet is an old one and has been waiting to mete out his revenge upon the human who has taken so many of his sired children. After laying eyes upon Violetta, he is intrigued by her beauty which will makes playing with her even more delicious.
Violetta is feisty and not about to surrender but Martinet has the power to manipulate and the patience to hold the reigns for as long as it takes.
Desiring Death is a sexy read with witty banter between Violetta and Martinet. With the author’s effortless narrative, she sets an erotic tone for two characters that are fighting their attraction to each other. While some parts felt a little slow to me, overall this book focuses on the chase and offers hints as to what may be in store for future books in the series. I hope Violetta and Martinet enjoy some kinkery together!
Violetta and Monsieur Martinet's story is one for the history books. A tale so compelling, well written and powerful it will simply blow you away.
Violetta is no average huntresss, she is top-notch vampie slayer with an impeccable track record and an uncanny accuracy when she goes on the hunt. She is skilled, beauitful and a temptress, while Monsieur Martinet is the handsome supernatural being destined to have your knees weak and when Violetta kills his entire family he broils with an insatiable lust for vengance and well... umm... something else!!!
These two were fated to meet in a legendary showdown and only one should remain standing but our vampie boy has other plans, while read I wondered if he was related to Christian Grey from 50 Shades, because these two men are very similar in there scorching, erotic desires (no spoilers!).
Read for yourself, this electrifying book is worth it.
Violetta has definitely bitten off more than she could chew when assigned this latest job to assassinate Monsieur Martinet. She has had a good track record thus far. Every minion of his she has vanquished. So what of the vampire extraordinaire? Easy as pie.
All the while Monsieur Martinet has his own plans for revenge and something more... ~grin~
A gripping tale, sensually written. You will find yourself engaged immediately from the start: “Her lungs were burning. There was a tight knot in her chest that threatened to explode… She had been given a chance to run and she intended to make full use of it. He would pursue her, of that she had no doubt.”

What is Mandara's recipe for success where so many dismally fail to tell a good story?
Take one famed vampire huntress with a deadly lust, Violetta.
Add Monsieur Martinet, vampire master, controller of humans.
Beat until stiff.
Fold in old scores to be settled.
Roast until lust is crystallized.
Add abduction and leave in a hot oven until book is done.
We had left her under the complete control of M. Martinet (lucky girl!) and she was only just realising it! The fast paced action is Red Hot! This is no book for those that don't like their sex steamy...Get your fans out girls, Mr. Grey move over!
However the book isn't all about the sex. The characters have great depth and I liked the way the story of their differing pasts was pulled out by the author. Great pace of writing too with enough 'other' action and suspense to make the story of this battle of love and hate, distrust and desire, a really good read.
