While I am keeping both, I ordered this and the Sunwayfoto (3 star review) to compare as I switch from Manfrotto RC2 to Arca-Swiss. For additional conversions will be purchasing more of these. Was spoiled by the Benro 1 B2 ball head which had a 2 part release of the plate. The knob would unscrew only so far allowing the plate/camera to slide between the two stops but NOT flop out. To fully remove had to pull out on the knob and turn to open the jaws a little wide. That is a great feature and should be on every Arca-Swiss design but virtually every base plate I have seen is fully screw to open the jaws with no intermediate stop. I am not talking about the two pins on each end that limit the slide, rather the jaw opening, if too open could flop out.
This base is pre-drilled for 3/8 thread and comes with a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter. No screw was included but usually have with the connecting unit. If not, most hardware stores have 1/4 course 20 thread that the adapter requires (don't get the fine 28 thread). For that matter could even get 3/8 and skip the adapter. For this, I prefer Ace to the big box hardware stores as they have open box and can just buy one, plus if you bring the attachment in, can try the fitting in the store.

It makes Manfrotto 3265 Arca compatible!

It fits my Manfrotto 3265 head nicely, but not squarely. It does accommodate the "tenon" on the ball head, but, to do so, it's screwed on at a slight angle (see photo). Functional wise, I expect it to work perfectly.
