This is Pippa & Tyke's story & it is so very heart wrenching! Pippa is still trying to figure out who she is after she was rescued by the Joker's Wrath. The one thing she does know is that Tyke is important to her. He's the one person (besides her sister) that she trusts completely. But she thinks he only sees her as a little sister. She sees him as so much more.
Tyke is learning to walk again after a devastating motorcycle accident left him in a wheelchair for years. He can finally walk again but he still feels like he can't be what he needs to be, for Pippa or his club. Before Pippa came into his life he had pretty much given up ever walking again. But after meeting her & knowing even just a little of what she had endured, he decides it's time to get out if his wheelchair & back on a bike again.
Can these two broken souls find their way to each other? Will they let their pasts dictate their future? This is the final story of the Jokers' Wrath &, in my opinion, may have been the best of the series!!!
This story of Tyke and Pippa was good. Where Santana was a definitely different type of weak than Pippa, Pippa had a reason for her broken pieces and to me she was strong and brave. Tyke loved her, his broken angel and my heart was heavy as he tried to save her. They finally saved each other.
And to know he has eyes only for Pippa is even better. She is a survivor, I love her strength.
I do wish there would have been chapters in Tyke's POV. We didn't get to fully grasp his feelings for anything, including Pippa.
I am so sorry to see this series be completed. It is one of my favorite. I love the brothers in the club, their old lady's, and the fierce protection they have for each other.

This is the fourth & final installment in the Joker’s Wrath MC series. Three years have elapsed since the end of book 3 and with Pippa living on the outside. I’ve loved these characters and am happy that we’ll see possibly see some of them in the next few House of Obsidian books.
Pippa was sold-off for a debt that was not her own. Luckily she wasn’t sold as a sex-slave, but that doesn’t mean that her years as a farm-laborer slave were easy or any less of a nightmare. Because of this, her teenage years were spent working, not learning or obtaining any schooling. She was malnourished during this time and never had sufficient nutrients to grow. She also lost her ability to interact with people on a “normal” level. After her rescue, she developed a crush on Tyke and built a solid best-friends type of friendship.
Tyke had been involved in a terrible accident while on his motorcycle and had never made a full recovery because he refused to do his physical therapy when the time was prime. But we do see him in somewhat of a rehabilitated state as he did begin working on himself after he saw the strength that Pippa had to live again after surviving enslavement. Tyke has always made Pippa a priority in his life, but has never stepped over the lines of friendship. He has had several girlfriends and each one makes Pippa’s heart hurt because of her unrequited love.
This book was written partially in the past and partially in the present. It generally went back and forth between past & present for each chapter or 2 and at first I was concerned, but it actually worked. What I didn’t care for was the 3-year time lapse with nothing about that time period, except for being told what happened. We didn’t see Pippa’s transition from living with her sister & being unable to care for herself, to being able to live alone, hold down a job & support herself. We also didn’t see Tyke’s decision to start physical therapy nor his struggles with it. We didn’t see the great friendship that Pippa & Tyke built or how he was the only one who was able to get through & befriend Pippa. That felt somewhat forced. But I’ll admit that it would have been hard to fit the 3 year lapse in with the slaved past, and the future.
We do meet & get a glimpse into the characters of the next 3 books. The characters are Max & Belle’s story in Flawed Heart (House of Obsidian #1), Rainer’s story in Flawed Love (House of Obsidian #2), and also Raide’s story in Hard to Fight (Alpha’s Heart #1.)
