From the Author
I love hot cowboys and strong women, and when Rex and Jade found each other, I knew their story would be a hot one. When you mix a hot, wealthy, and wickedly naughty cowboy witha feisty cowgirl, sparks are going to fly!
You met Rex Braden in Lovers at Heart, Book One of the The Bradens (Love in Bloom Series). Jade Johnson is about to turn his comfortable rancher's life upside down. Don't miss this powerful love story.
If you enjoy the LOVE IN BLOOM series, you may enjoy my new series, HARBORSIDE NIGHTS.
HARBORSIDE NIGHTS is a sexy, hot, and evocatively real New Adult Romance series that follows a group of friends who have known one another for years as "summer" friends, and now come together after college to build their lives. They're tough, edgy, and accepting--most of the time. Catching Cassidy is written in the loving, raw, and emotional voice readers have come to love by New York Times & USA Today bestselling, award-winning author Melissa Foster.
Rex and Jade are a great couple and this is such a good book. You need to read their love story!! I love how once they decided to go for it they didn't allow the feud between their fathers to get in the way of their relationship. It wasn't easy but theirs is a relationship that was meant to be. Rex is such an alpha male you can't help fall in love with him and Jade is just who he needs in his life.
The Love in Bloom Series by Melissa Foster is actually several connected series that tie together."The Snow Sisters" series are the first books in the collection, and "The Bradens" are the second set in the series. Then "The Remingtons," "Seaside" and "The Ryders." All together there a ton of books in the collection, that all correlate with each other. I have only read books from the Snow Sisters and The Bradens so far to give you info on, this series is way larger than I originally thought. The entire Love in Bloom series is romance quite obviously, but there are also a lot of deep emotions and issues each character has to face in their book. They were not quite the light "feel good" read I was hoping for, but now I am roped in. I have read the fist book of each set (free downloads) and really want to read the rest. The Snow Sisters set, is obviously about the Snow sisters, three sisters Danica, Kaylie, and Lacy, three books. The Bradens set, as before, is about the Braden family. There are 5 brothers Treat, Rex, Josh, Dane, Hugh and sister Savannah and they each get their own books. After, Hearts at Play, which is Huge's books, the series keeps going on with more Bradens that I have yet to meet in the two I have read. My warnings for the series seem pretty basic. Lots of graphic sex, some language, there is not really any action or adventure, mostly it is the "emotional conflict" that keeps the plot moving and the pages turning. I am not a huge fan of the characters physical descriptions, I can't really picture them. However, their personalities are great. They are well developed and distinguishing. Also, overall there were no huge typos or grammatical errors that stood out to me in the two books that I read.
Here is what I have on the Series:
Love in Bloom:: The Snow Sisters: Sisters in Love (Danica) Sisters in Bloom (Kaylie) Sisters in White (Danica, Kaylie & Lacy)
The Bradens: Lovers at Heart (Treat) Destined for Love (Rex) Friendship on Fire (Josh) Sea of Love (Dane) Bursting with Love (Savannah) Hearts at Play (Hugh)
Taken by Love (Luke) Fated for Love (Wes) Romancing my Love (Pierce) Flirting With Love (Ross) Dreaming of Love Crashing into Love
As I mentioned before, both "Sisters in Love" and "Lovers at Heart" are currently free downloads for Kindle on Amazon. Lovers at Heart , For a complete list of The Love in Bloom series, synopses and more on everything Melissa visit her website at http://www.melissafoster.com/ .
Meet Jade Johnson and Rex Braden. A long standing feud between their families over a parcel of land has kept them apart for years. Jade, who has been away at veterinarian school, keeps running into Rex. One dark night after a few too many drinks, Rex saves Jade from making a mistake. That night sets of a fury of storms between the two that lead to their relationship, which has to be hidden. Then Hope steps in and helps mend the relationship between the two families. The long-standing feud between the two families comes to a head and the truth comes out. Will this truth further wrench the families part, or will understanding fix everything? You'll have to read and see!!! Another amazing read!
Finally! Finally someone wrote a cowboy love story that was both well written and fun, with a splash of sexual content in it that was just a little on the hot side, but not pornographic. The language of love between these two characters is evident in the well written words of this author.
"The nerve of him, staring at me like I'm a piece of meat. Even if he was every girl's dream of a cowboy come true in his tight-fitting jeans which curved oh so lusciously over his thighs, defining a significant bulge behind the zipper. She ran her eyes up his too-tight dark shirt and silently cursed at herself for involuntarily licking her lips in response. She tried to tear her eyes from his tanned face, peppered with stubble so sexy that she wanted to reach out and touch his chiseled jaw, but her eyes would not obey."
This is the kind of writing you'll find in this book. Sultry, sexy and moving.
Rex Braden and Jade Johnson can never be together because of their respective families having a dispute between each other that would rival the Hatfield's and the McCoy's. But their undeniable attraction for each other can't keep them apart...not anymore. And the love they've been denying themselves is what drives them together.
Get this book and you won't be disappointed. And if I could give more stars, I would.
A family feud between the Johnsons and Bradens has kept Rex and Jade apart for 15 years. However, when Jade's last relationship breaks up she returns to her hometown to regroup. Soon Rex and Jade walk into each other and they realize that they are still in love with each other. But what about the feud?
This book had a very straight forward and simple plot, which could be considered a drawback. However, this minus was very nicely counterbalanced with the depth of the feelings between the two main characters. I absolutely adored how eloquently Rex put his feelings for Jade into words! Needless to say that I appreciated the hot and steamy moments!
There were some ”paranormal” element in the storyline, which I didn't really appreciate but thankfully these were limited so I could overlook them easily. My biggest disappointment was definitely the reason for the feud, which I considered completely minor and badly elaborated.
In any case, a nice, sweet and very romantic book that reached its HEA unproblematically.
