Good looks, a successful career as a real estate investor, and sexual prowess allow Oricho Hamilton to live the lifestyle of a player. Enjoying the benefits of multiple women at his beck and call, a committed relationship is nowhere in his future. That all changes when his cousin invites him out for a night of fun. Ready to add another woman to his entourage, Oricho is taken aback when he meets Erin as thoughts of turning in his "player card" immediately fill his mind.
From the night they met, Erin and Oricho's romance is filled with passion, easy conversation, and quality time with family and friends. For the both of them, it feels as if fate brought them together. But in the midst of their bliss, trust issues and tragedy strike causing their love to be put through the ultimate test. As the trials and tribulations of love ensue, Erin and Oricho must either endure and allow destiny to prevail or return to the loveless lives of their past.
Erica N. Martin and Greg O. Jones have penned an engaging story that allows the reader to understand how those things that get in the way of a relationship are viewed from the male and female perspective. The characters and their issues with the opposite sex are very realistic as they deal with their faith, past hurts, and commitment anxieties. Although having two points of view is an excellent idea, the two perpsectives would have come across clearer if they were written in the first person. This would allow for the voices of these characters to be more distinct from one another. Oftentimes, "His Story" retold what happened in "Her Story" with only the addition of a few minor details; details which could have been infused in his voice when the actual event took place. Despite a few editing mishaps and the desire for stronger character voices, DESINTY...INTERRUPTED is a quick read that engages the reader in the lives of the main characters.

This unique style of writing makes the novel; Destiny...Interrupted a treat because we are privileged to follow the course of an intense whirlwind relationship as told from the man and woman involved.
Each chapter draws you in with the story as told by Erin A. Lynch, a stunning and successful author who dynamically manages to raise her two sons while writing and running a thriving publishing company.
Immediately following Erin's standpoint we get to see their world through the eyes of Orico, a flourishing real estate investor who turns all heads upon entrance in any room.
An instantaneous love connection draws the two together despite the fact that neither were looking for anything so intense. Traumatic events of the past, trust issues and present drama that transpires as a result of those things threaten to end this extreme romance. But traumatic twists and turns may be just the thing that is needed to bring them back together.
In this novel author Erica N. Martin has taken her literary style and creativity to the next level. Debut author Gregory O. Jones proves to be a force to be reckoned with as he brings each scene to life with vivid and detailed descriptions that will affect you emotionally, physically and spiritually. This brilliant writing duo left us with a gut wrenching ending that most certainly lends itself to a sequel to the page turner, Destiny...Interrupted.
The Ups and Downs of Being Round
Taste My Soul
The story develops quickly keeping you interested in how things will work out. But, Erin and Oricho have a lot to deal with - baby mama/daddy drama, trust issues, serious illness, and deciding if love is real. The infusion of numerous secondary characters makes it difficult to understand who is dating whom. At times the transition between the two sides of the story is rough often causing the reader to ask what is actually going on. Ultimately the twists and turns will keep you reading until the end.
Reviewing for Real Page Turners
a very attractive couple who both are trying to decided if they are linked beyond their physical and sexy attributes.
