I loved this story. The mysticism and magic draw you into another world. It is full of danger and mystery and a love story spanning two worlds.

Ruby Parker's life has been turned upside down. Having her badge taken away for something she didn't do has her down and not knowing what to do. But she vows to get her job back. When her life is unknowingly endangered she doesn't know what it is for. When she is rescued by the handsome stranger, little does she know her future will change forever.

Jamie is a Draconi tracker. Being a halfling has left him with limited magic. Not being able to transport or turn into a dragon has left him feeling an outcast in his home. But he dreams of her and just has to rescue her. When he sets his sights on her he knows instantly that she will be his mate. The trouble is convincing her.

As they begin their journey, she has to come to realize the myths she has always known about are in fact reality, and the power she has is remarkable not a hindrance. Can Jamie convince her that they are meant to be mates and to leave her world and people to be with him? Or will Parker need to go back home to her world and live without the love she has found? Will she stay? Would he leave all he's ever known for her?

Another great story in this series!

Another great story in this series. I've read all the books in this series, and they just keep getting better and better. The Detective's Dragon starts out strong and never lets up. The chemistry between Ruby and Jamie is intense and continues to grow right from the beginning. I can't wait to see where else this series heads, because I guarantee I'll be along for the ride. Great job!

This story begins with a great deal of action: a powerful dream that pulls Jamie, a Halfing Draconi, to search out the female human he's drawn to rescue and an attempted kidnapping of Ruby, a disgraced member of the Denver police force. From their first meeting, the attraction between the two is blocked by their different backgrounds--and dimensions. Karilyn Benthley, however, weaves a great tale of love and intrigue, with a more than a little fantasy tossed in, that gives a new meaning to the word "diversity."

I love reading a Karilyn Bentley novel. Always fast-paced in a paranormal world that leaves you hanging wanting more. This book crossed dimensions filled with suspense and longing. I really enjoyed this story and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.
