I guess I am on a demons & angels mood because the last book I read was also about angels and demons but that one was more on the religious side than this one. Although I see the religious details, this one is more of a YA good vs evil story.
We have 3 main characters, although I though it was 4 for the longest time and once one of them was killed I was super sad. But we have Hannah, Josh and Raum. Hannah is a Devada (she has powers that can kill demons) and Raum and Josh are Daimons (they are the first immortals created to fight against the demons. Hannah has no idea what she is and the 2 boys are there to help her train and get her where she needs to be. There is sort of a love triangle going on and you find yourself split up because they are both so perfect, heck in the beginning I actually liked her best friend for her. I really liked how the author played the love triangle, you really don't know who she will end up with or is she will end up with either. I was happy with what happened in the end.
The story is very good and has quite a bit of action. You won't be bored, the fights are entertaining and this story will also get some emotions out of you. I almost cried with the death of one of the characters, it was so sad, I still feel like he shouldn't have died.
This is a great story and I am very glad I finally had the time to read it, I bought this book last year and I am now looking forward to buying the next installment to know what happens next.
I should also say that this book is perfectly safe, if you have teens they can read it, I am sure my kids will love this book. It is very clean.
First this book read super fast. I couldn't believe that before I knew it I was at 90%. It flowed so nicely that I forgot I was reading and not watching a tv show. I liked all the characters because they were well written and developed. My favorite character is Raum. I love me a snarky and cocky guy. He makes me laugh with his smart comments and winks. I would have problems not wanting to date him if I was in this world. My favorite moment was in the tunnel. It was a special moment when Hannah feels her power. I won't go too far into the description because it will give too much away. I liked that moment. It gave me chills and something to root for. I look forward to reading the rest of the series because I am hooked. I would recommend this series to any angel loving fantasy fans.
The story begins with Hannah and Chris, seventeen year old best friends and high school classmates, who hang out together almost all the time, though they are only friends. Hannah then meets Josh and Raum, new in her class, and has real trouble figuring out what their intentions are. They seemed nice enough but she viewed them with much apprehension. When strange events began occurring, Hannah became frightened of what was happening to her and around her and was unsure who she could trust. It has a huge surprise cliffhanger ending which ontinues in the second book!
The story is well written and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat as time progressed and events unfolded. Tish knows how to bring her characters to life with action packed stories. If you like suspense, you will love this book! I would rate it a 3 out of 5.
Oh ok 4 kings from hell, one on his way to kill our main protagonist.
Devada has no clue how to use her powers, possibly cause she has not had them long enough.
So who will train her? Why the boys naturally....
A nice easy read I am sure will become a fast hit.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
