Cooper wants to be a writer, Solomon believes he can make it happen. Propelled by circumstances they head out on an adventure impossible not to follow.
This is a wonderfully heartfelt story filled with beautiful prose and breathtaking characters. Cooper's journey will keep you guessing, but it's a journey we all wish we could take; if only we had the courage.
Would I recommend this book? God yes!
he finally was wrenched out of his GPS locality Dickness, and into his travelling adventures of still being a Dick, along with his super smart Solomon who keeps them both afloat throughout their seemingly aimless wandering, and then into all of the fame, fortune and failures of Cooper and his personal life......whew...I was then totally gob smacked when I realized it was a novel within a novel, and maybe...(I kept thinking to myself) this is really an involved story that you or Sean have personally followed, and embellished, along the road to your own fame and fortune....but after all the ups and downs of Cooper, I kept reading and reading...and decided I really did like this book, even though it was such a departure from your other beauties !! Although at times it was difficult to throw off the film of depression that kept clouding my eyes....and just wishing he would GROW UP and act like a normal person who has found that fame and fortune and fully enjoys what has come his way!!
Just absolutely loved Fat Vampire and couldn't put it down....thinking about ordering your 9 volume set of Cursed...hmmm...
Very different from Sean and Johnny's usual work, probably one of their best, if not THE best (although I'm cringing even saying that because I love everything they've written). I wasn't sure they could pull this off, knowing what type of stories they usually write, but damned if they didn't do it!
Kudos guys! Slam-dunk with this one.
