Had problems downloading the song onto my phone. Had issues trying to find the location of the file. And, when I cleaned the memory, the song file was accidentally deleted in the process, so I had to re-download it. Once I was able to find the file location, I managed to get it moved to my memory card where I store all my multimedia files. Plays fine though. I wish that there was some possible way to edit the file details such as: song title, album name, artist name, and genre to better personalize it.
I have to credit my sweet husband for indirectly influencing why I enjoy this classic country/classic rock song that is the Devil Went Down to Georgia by the Charlie Daniels Band. This is because when we were both still in our 20s my husband introduced me to some of the music he was listening to by the Charlie Daniels band (yes I know I’m showing my age yet oh well). One of the reasons why I enjoy this song that is the Devil Went Down to Georgia by the Charlie Daniels band is because the song basically appeals to the side of me that has a writing passion. This is because the Devil Went Down to Georgia appears to me to be a musical story type of song about a character with a gift in music who also courageously takes on the task of competing with the devil via his musical prowess.

The song has been around since I was little (born in the 70's to give an idea of my age) and though I'd heard the unedited version on a couple of movies, I never could find it on tape, CD, or mp3 until recently. When I did, I grabbed it.
I used to love this song... now my 14 year old son plays it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.... :p

This is the (barely explicit) version of the song they used to play on the radio. That is what I expected it to be so I'm happy. This is the version with the one-time lyric "son of a b-tch" instead of "son of a gun".
This Is one of The Charlie Daniels Band most famous hits. I love it because of the music and the lyrics are great. I am more of a rock/pop music and I love 80's music. I like some Country, but most I don't bother. This song tells a great story about competition, good v. evil, and the result.
If you have ever listened to Country from the 80's and early 90's era (the prime country era) you know this song! Upbeat and lots of fiddle in this one. This song has lasted through the years and will keep lasting through many more. Charlie Daniels is a great man.
