The creation of this series is brilliant. The dialogue is fresh and hysterically funny at times. I'm uncertain whether I like Kate or not, but she is certainly making her mark in history as she crosses paths with the most feared pirate captains and pirate chasers of the times, clashing with Bluebeard, Calico Jack and Charles Vane and Woodes Rogers. Life is cheap, except for Kate's.
Excellent book that kept held my attention from start to finish, and hopefully there'll be a Book 4! A bit more romance in Book 3 here, but wouldn't actually call this a romance novel. Action and adventure, yes!
I love pirate books and highly recommend to anyone of like mind.
Yes, it's gory and graphic at times. And because of this I sometimes couldn't quite create the images in my mind to go along with the story. But this didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book much.
Loved the ending! The author kept me in suspense regarding the love story-line way too long, but the ending made up for it.
