5 Star Review
This book is incredibly captivating and creative. I loved the plot and the main character is so much fun to spend time with. I was delighted by how well crafted the world is, how it managed to blend a truly original fantasy with a mystery, while having the pacing and twisting qualities I love reading in a thriller. The characters are so well written, especially the main character, Delaney, that the reader can really feel her emotional struggle in times of great stress, and gets to understand her frustrations and dilemma quite well.
I also really enjoyed how the world created for this fantasy is one that is incredibly relatable, but has the overlay of fantastic elements that gives it its magic.

I think the book is good because you have the perfect storytelling in it and you add plenty of detail in your storytelling. It's like you have everything almost perfect in the book!
Some of my favorite things about the book are:
Cover looks awesome
You have great backgrounds for the characters
The book is dark fantasy

What a f#%&ing book..ok.there I said....I bought it on Sunday it arrived on Tuesday and I litterly just finished it....my boss ( who is also my husband lol) was a little worried about...why you ask because I HATE TO READ...this is the first book I read from cover to cover EVER...like that is a honest statement.I hate that I finished it...can't wait for number 2...congratulations
To know that Laney and Cal - and Moose - go on to not only find a life together, but figure out the bigger picture of who is after Angus.
I can see this isn't helpful as a review, but I hope you can see how much this book has drawn me in!
I NEED MORE!
So I'm off to look and see what else this author has available.
It is hard for me to find time to read but I found myself searching to even a few minutes to get more pages read - this is not my usual self.
I even purchased book two as I had to get the whole story and what happens next.
Can't wait to turn more pages!

Delaney is the Devil's daughter in question.
The start of the book she's tracking a killer.
Then she goes home and we realise she's alone. Living away from people. Finding out why takes us on a journey.
The Devil isn't the usual one either.
Then daddy decides she need babysitters, not the normal kind either.
Also, someone's stuck a target on Laney's back and the monsters are coming for her.
The only negative thing I can say is I now have a pile of work to catch up on.
