Ok so I'm a newbie to mc books.
I've read the odd one here and there but nothing that's really drawn me in. Yep ive obviously not been looking in the right places because I absolutely loved this book.
May I just make it plainly clear now #BladeIsMine ask kacey I claimed him first (hehe)
This book like all of kacey's works is full of twists and turns. You will experience emotional overload. It will fill you with hope and then whip it out from underneath you. *bam*
Heather is sweet and innocent. Although her husband has dealings with the Devon destroyers she has no idea of the way the club runs... Until one day when her life is snatched from her! Will she remain in control, or will the fateful day be the end of her life the way she has known it.
Blade #mine ;)
Blade hasn't had a easy time. Uncommitted to a single mc he moves around where needed.
This is until he falls for the charms of a sweet pregnant lady.
Can he save her or will it be another dreadful ending for the one he has feelings for.
Will his past experiences cloud his judgment??
I need book two asap. That ending... well let's say kacey is no longer on my Christmas card list lol. #loveyoureally
I cannot wait to see what kacey will come up with next.

Authors should state in story descriptions that they are cliff-hangers.
I despise cliff-hangers. No desire to re-read this story or any other works by the author.
Remember this is my personal opinion and does not reflect on the author.
Kacey continues to deliver excellent books with characters you will not easily forget. This first book in the series will wet your appetite with a perfectly paced, intriguing story that doesn't leave out hot and sexy. The twists were well-timed and surprising. Another must read!
So the arrival of the Devon Destroyers had me chomping at the bit.
Heather is married to one of the guys in the club but as much her life was, she really was naive to the whole club scenario, but she is about to get a very abrupt introduction because what she didn’t know was what her husband was up too–because it appears that he had pulled the wool over not only her eyes but his brothers in the club and when he is cut down in front of her by the club itself, she is left at their mercy, the only issue she has is the fact that she is pregnant and completely out of options.
Blade is the club enforcer, the man that Heather will come to understand that she needs to accept what he is offering if she wants to keep both herself and her child safe.
But why has he stepped up to the plate and claimed Heather as his, having lost his wife and child, is this his reasoning?
Blade knows that Heather has to work of the debt her husband has left behind but what they expect from her is too much for him. Claiming her as his old lady is the only way he can save her from the other guys and their ways.
But can Heather, accept her role and can they convince the other guys that what they see is what they get?
Playing at being in a relationship is not the best way to start out but it gives the two of them the time they need to get to know each other and it keeps the club wolves at bay.
Blade was a super character, I really took to him almost immediately.
But there is an undercurrent of mistrust, lies and innuendo, the club from President down is playing their cards close to their chests and Heather is at the centre of it all.Read more ›
Blade is a hottie with a softer side and he takes her as his own to protect her and her baby but what goes on after the birth and the twist at the end with cliffhanger was just something that made me shake my head and roll my eyes. I was going to read the next book to see what happens but the price was raised up overnight so I won't be buying it just yet.
An ok read for those who might like a different type of biker book but for me (who has read hundreds of them) it just wasn't realistic enough.
**** 3.5 **** "he takes them both as his own" stars
