Devon Miller, an avid sport’s fan since 12 years of age, and fantasy sports player for over three years. From the USS Spartanburg County LST 1192 to the floating city called an aircraft carrier, the USS Constellation CV 64, he proudly wore a sailor hat, sailed rough seas, stood the watch until o’dark thirty, and his ship was fired upon off the coast of Somalia. Devon was a U.S. Navy sailor for seven years, 1993-2000. Along the way of dodging a rocket-propelled grenade in the service to his country, he developed a passion for business and computer programming, but essentially, the U.S. Navy taught him, do whatever was necessary to get the job done.
Along the way of getting the job done, he picked up an EMBA to help his cause. He started a sports blog called the Sporty Mouth, www.d-sportymouth.com , to share his views regarding college and professional sports. When he finally found Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS), it was a passion culminated in trying to help everyone win.
He applied what he was taught while playing Daily Fantasy Sports and his experience working with Microsoft Excel and VBA to writing his first two books. The two books, Blueprint for a Winning Daily Fantasy Sports Football Optimizer and Blueprint for a Winning Daily Fantasy Sports Basketball Optimizer were written to help the DFS player create a tool to build multiple lineups and save time during research and drafting phase.
Blueprint for a Winning Daily Fantasy Sports Football Optimizer provides the foundation of building a basic DFS optimizer. Devon’s second book, Blueprint for a Winning Daily Fantasy Sports Basketball Optimizer, it helps a DFS player add more features to their optimizer, and it uses more complex code and formulas.
Devon stills believe you do whatever it takes to get the job done, and his writing will attempt to help the reader get the job done under most circumstances.
