works like it should keeps the cards covered, i did get the other one that dime card makes that only holds micro sd cards and it holds them perfectly and is half the thickness as this one and fits effortlessly in the a wallet. i would only get this one if you need to have a full size sd card or adapter on hand. check out the kingston micro sd card reader it is amazingly small.

I had bought a previous DiMeCard to hold 8 microSD cards - it works well and I have no concerns that I will lose a card. Also, it is very thin and uniform. I decided to try this version as I often use an SD adapter with my microSDs and this would have made things really convenient. However, this card is slightly thicker ... to accomodate the SD cards, so acceptable, but as soon as I inserted an SD adapter, I noticed that it seemed very loose.
BEWARE: if you shake the card, the SD falls out. If you drop it on a desktop, you risk losing the SD.
The microSDs seem to stay in well, although the previous DiMe had a definite "lock in" that I don't feel with this card. I definitely will not trust any important SD cards to remain secure so basically I'm left with a storage unit for 4 microSDs ... oh well, better luck next time, but I won't be buying another one of these.

After searching my house for a "missing" microSD card, I concluded I needed some method for storing these little beauties in a single location. As usual, I logged into Amazon.com and did a search for SD storage. Bam - a number of products were available at a reasonable price. I opted for this particular holder due to its ability to hold both SD and microSD cards. Currently, I have 3 micro cards, a standard SD card and an SD to microSD adapter stored in the card. I have not had occasion to travel with the holder, but when I do, it will be no trouble at all. The cards seem to "lock" in fairly well and the entire holder is quite firm and sturdy. Best of all, no more lost microSD cards! There are even blank forms on the reverse side for labeling the content of each stored card. Brilliant product!

Couple of things I don't like about this product.
One, it is too thick for me. I had hoped it was perhaps just a tad thinner.
Second, after a few inserts, the SD cards started to a little loose. It does not fall out yet, but I can see it is only a matter of time before that will happen.
Third, the case that I got was a little warped (not completely flat). I understand at this price range, workmanship is not at its highest, but for a product that needs to be thin and precise, I was quite disappointed.
I think I'm going back to Walgreens to get those tiny ziplocks for pills. They work well for storing micro SD cards.

It may be the size of a credit card but it is 5 to 6 times the thickness. That doesn't bother me at all because it does exactly what it is supposed to and has been super helpful for me. I develop custom re-packed stock ROM's for foreign tablets like those made by the Chinese company Ainol, so I have a lot of microSD cards around. This not only helped me organize and label them but also gave me an easy way to transport them with me when I'm not working on my little hobby from home.

The actual case is durable plastic and protects the microSD cards very well. You do need longer fingernails to remove the cards from their slots and I do not have long enough fingernails (I bite them), so I keep a guitar pick around to pop them out when I need them. Overall though it was a good buy and I'm glad I randomly stumbled across this.

Although this holder appears to be the answer to holding 2 SD cards and 4 Micro SD cards, it has limitations. We're all familiar with inserting these two type cards into a device and feeling the resistance of the spring, pushing a little harder and then backing off to feel the card lock in your device. The spring and lock are absent from this holder. Pushing the card in results in added friction as you get to the end of the insertion travel, but it is nothing more than added friction....NO LOCK!!
There is a loop at the top of the holder presumable for a neck lanyard of some type. I would not use that as a situation my arise where the card starts swinging on your neck lanyard, hits something with enough force to jar the cards lose. The friction that retains the cards in the holder over a period of time will probably wear and the cards would become more vulnerable to falling out. Also the friction holding the cards vary between slots.
If you plan on keeping the card holder in your camera bag, then this holder should be adequate.

This device is pretty good for storing a small handful of SD memory cards, particularly micro SD cards. The reason why it favors the micro SD format is because it provides four slots for micro SD cards, and only two for the standard SDHC/XC format. It's find of nice idea, which is a small, credit card-sized shape that you simply insert the cards into for storage. As anyone who has more than one micro SD cards, keeping track of these little guys can be tricky because they are so physically small. This little card addresses that question in exactly the manner in which you see illustrated in the photo.

The device seems well made, and there are no squeaks or bending: this is a very stiff, and ostensibly, strong piece. It would be perfect for taking on trips, but equally useful for just managing cards at home. It's small size and weight makes it a pretty handy device for both settings. Why four stars, instead of five? Just a minor quibble: getting those little rascals back out of their slots can be tough (unless you have a decent length of fingernail, and then it's not an issue). I would have liked to have seen each slot spring loaded and lock, so that when you push the card in, it locks into place, and then to remove, pressing on it to have the spring push it out (a design you see on many computers and other devices). But this would have added cost to the device, for sure, and probably a bit of weight, too, so it really may not be that big of an issue with which to be concerned. But for storing these types of cards, I have no problem recommending it.
