I think the author did a fine job expressing herself and motivating her readers to move forward in weight loss. She also did well in gaining the reader's sympathy for her drastically over weight condition. I'm overweight myself and my heart broke for her the way she was treated. I don't have diabetes but I've been about 100 lbs overweight myself. I've lost 45 lbs so far with another weight loss plan, rather a lifestyle change, that is a great fit and working well for me. I'm about 1/2 way to my goal! In Megan's book I was able to find extra motivation and tips for my own weight loss plan. Now, hopefully my husband will see her method as reasonable for himself and will be on his road to better health!
Thank you Megan for sharing your heart and what you've learned to others.
I gave a 4 star due to a few typos. I'm of the opinion that almost all personal story books should receive 5 stars because each life is a unique testimony and it takes courage to share from your heart and life experience. Each one having value.
This was quick and easy reading and I finished it in about an hour.
May it encourage and help each one who reads it!
Some examples that are featured include fiber, leafy greens, superprotein, meal protein, and even nuts and grains that are slower to process thus expanding the digestive span to the point of not crashing down on energy, or heightening hunger bouts. The book helps you choose the right foods and food combinations that can lead to a healthier lifestyle and to an easier way to look at what "healthy eating" really is.
However, this really is simply a short testimony on how the IRD worked for one woman with two recipes in it. I read it in about 30 minutes or so. It doesn't even go over all the details of the plan, just the 7g of protein for every 14g carbs formula. All of the information in here can be found with a quick Google search. It certainly isn't worth $2.99. I really feel very misled between the title of the "book" and the description.
My research is over! I have found the perfect plan for me. For those who are battling Diabetes I suggest this book to start getting healthy. I found the advice in this book very helpful seeing that I have just been diagnosed with Diabetes. Although my doctor is trying me with maintaining it through diet and exercise first I found myself just like Megan researching for something that would work for me. I love her story and can relate to her struggle to find what worked for her.
I love her perseverance and her advice that she gives. She has truly encouraged me to continue to strive for my goals. I also love her recipes that she shared and her ideas for getting moving with the exercises.
I put my stamp of approval on this story of reaching success in changing your lifestyle for the best you ever!
