This companion book to the stunning exhibit at the National Gallery in 2013 will be a treat for anyone who appreciates the performing arts. The book is expertly researched and makes fascinating reading while the photo illustrations prove why Diaghilev deserves our praise.

Let me add to the other sage three-sentence reviews here. The Beef Stroganoff by Michel Richard at the Garden Cafe was the best things about this exhibition. It was the best Beef Stroganoff I ever had, better than that which I had in St. Petersburg even! Great Borscht in the Garden Cafe too. Buffet all you can eat, like the Bellagio!! The catalogue looked great. But really are videos of ballets worthy of the National Gallery NOT!!
