Product Description

This 1/2-inch diameter chrome steel G25 bearing balls are for use in single- and double-row bearings that support radial loads. These bearing balls have a 1/2-inch diameter, and are grade G25 for precision relative to sphericity, surface integrity, and size. They are made of chrome steel for durability and resistance to deformity under heavy loads. These bearing balls come in a pack of 100.

Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.

This product is great, I have no complaints with the product itself, however, when my order hot to me, I only got 89/100. Now the package was also damaged when it got here, so this may be shippings fault, but it would be nice to have a more durable bag containing the bearing.

Like I said, the product itself is great, I just want to make sure I get all of what I order next time.

I love these little steel bearings! my only complaint was that they were coated in some sort of lubricant, but I expected such thanks to a previous customer review. I used paper towels and water to get it off and now I've got 100 steel ball bearings. They arrived a day after I ordered them and they came in a small box sealed in a bag. To all the people that thought these were Bucky balls: don't ever buy anything impulsively! especially on the internet! I bought these for a marble maze game and for a college project but with so many in my possession, I might build a marble machine.
This product is exactly what they say it is period.

One size fits all fermenting weights

Bought these to use as weights for fermenting vegetables. The regular weights used to hold your vegetable of choice below the brine are to
awkward to use in different size jars, unless you buy different sizes. I washed these in Dawn soap to remove their thin coat of oil, then dried
them in my oven at 300° F for 60 mins. I put them in double zip-lock bags, and place them on top of the vegetables to keep them submerged.

They are easy to store, easy to wash, unbreakable, and are easy to put in an remove from jar.

I found these when I was looking for replacement marbles for my son's marble run. These are perfect. They came in one bag with an oily coating that I assume is to protect them from rusting. After a quick wash in the sink with some detergent and air dry, they are ready for the marble run. They are a good replacement and only slightly smaller than the original marbles. This is good for those twisty turns or tight connections.

They are not magnetic, and I did not check whether they respond to magnets. I really think they're a 4star product, but I want to counter the crappy reviews from people who didn't read the product description.

I'm only writing to warn consumers that these are not magnetized but they appear in response to searches for Buckeyballs (magnetized ball bearings). I bought them thinking they would be magnetized. They aren't. Its my fault. Had I read more carefully I would have seen they weren't. I now own 100 unmagnetized perfectly fine ball bearings that look exactly like Buckeyballs. I'm embarrassed. My bad. Be careful.

my son was looking for "bucky" balls. he did not realize that they are no longer available to purchase through "regular" retailers (they can be found on ebay). he mistakenly picked the bearing balls thinking they were a bunch of "bucky" balls. a picture of "bucky" balls lead him to the bearing balls and he did not read carefully (nor did I, my own mistake) when checking out. there was no clear message to say that "bucky" balls are no longer available for sale.
