Product Description

This bearing ball is made of chrome steel, conforms to G25 precision, and has a diameter of 3 mm. This bearing ball is suitable for use in single- and double-row bearings that support radial loads. This bearing is made of chrome steel for durability and resistance to deformity under heavy loads. This bearing conforms to grade G25 for precision in sphericity, surface integrity, and size. The ball has a diameter of 3 mm. This steel ball is suitable for use as a replacement ball within a bearing.

Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.

As described, these steel ball bearings are 3mm and there were 250 of them per package. I personally returned them because I searched for "buckyballs" to find these. These are not magnetic, though they would have been cool if they were. VXB, you've got a lot of people who would love to mass order magnetic spheres. Do that, and I'll buy some.

Exactly what I needed. I'm embedding these in 3D printed objects to create closing mechanisms; the opposing piece has a small map magnet. These bearing balls are nice and consistent, no flaws or anything odd. (When you buy a bearing ball, you expect it to be round, right?)

I bought these for a King Arms 120rd grenade which require 8 3mm ball bearing. They work, but I do have to lube the bearings after each use, could be the lube I use so I won't count that against this product.

Yep, as advertised! Little spherical steel balls in exactly the size I ordered. As far as I can tell, good quality. Too bad I only needed one.

I mistakenly thought these were magnetic Bucky balls. Obviously they are not but if you need steel balls these are them!
