As stated in previous You get what pay for a 20 dollar camera. Great for minor look in the hole jobs. I love it for what I need it for which is to check the bore on my rifles. Now, if your looking for small detail in firearms this not for you. However, if you just want to check for debris and pitting or light rust in barrel this is good enough to check all bores down to .22lr and 5.56. Yes It just fits with a little wiggling but be careful also play with settings in the software for a better picture

I can confirm that the advertisement is accurate. The focal distance is a few centimeters out to infinite. The image quality is good. 640x480. Using an adapter I was able to plug this into my Samsung Galaxy S4 active with a Webcam app I downloaded. The camera head is under 6mm. I measured it with a dial caliper. The wire is flexible and won't hold shape. Very happy with my purchase.

Update. I bought this for work at my shop and recently used it to inspect a combustion chamber in an engine. I was impressed with image quality. The convenience of using my smart phone with it was great. I was able to capture the image of the piston damage and quickly email it. I'm going to buy another.

Bargain and works better than expected with UPDATE

I wanted to give a fair review so waited quite a while to report on it after genuinely using this. I have used it for many things attached to a tablet and cellphone. Has surpassed my expectations. It is just long enough and flexible to use for many tasks. I have viewed in walls when running wire, found a dropped pill under the dish washer, drilled holes in various items to view the inside, etc. Has not failed me. I downloaded a free app on google play, and it works perfect. For the money this thing is unbelievable. Nothing else holds a candle to it. I've compared it to the Dewalt scope 18v tool, and the Harbor Freight Hand held.... not even close. The variable LED light and length coupled with the low price its not even a competition. Takes up almost no space at all in my tool box.

UPDATE: With lots of use this device will eventually fall apart. I have used it at least 30 times now and the head of the device is falling apart. I am rough on it, but am sort of bummed it is falling apart so quickly. Right now it is mostly unusable. I do feel like I got my monies worth out of it so am not lowering my rating.

The camera I received is not 720P it is 640x480 30fps. But for the money the image is acceptable (barely). I purchased the camera along with the suggested Supereyes 3pc. mirror set and the OTG cable for android devices at the same time. The mirror set is apparently for a 7mm camera and are to big for this 5.5mm camera. So I have to return the mirrors. I installed "CameraFi" app for Android from Playstore and it worked fine on my Galaxy S4 phone but my Lenovo tablet freezes up when I tried to use the app on it. I don't know if the problem is the app or the camera itself. I wanted this to use with the tablet and if I can't find an app that works I'll likely return the camera but I'm keeping the OTG cable.
Others mentioned the cable is to limber and won't hold a set position. That's true. But if you tape it to an electrical fish tape it works as well as the tape itself.
Also mentioned by others was the CD would not load on their computer. My Win7 64bit machine had no problem seeing the disc or installing the software.
This camera actually works as it should for this price point. The 2 star rating is because it's advertised as a HD 720P which it absolutely is not. Had the ad been honest about the resolution 4 maybe 5 stars would be appropriate.

Get what you pay for. I tried to use it to inspect a clogged pipe. All mediocre reviews are correct. The picture quality is poor, not even close to what would be expected from an HD camera. Focal distance is very short and led lights are barely sufficient to illuminate subject within focal length. The view angle is also narrow, so narrow that it will not cover inside of 1 1/2" pipe with in the focal distance of the lens. The USB connector is so flimsy it rattles and I used electrical tape to hold is together so that it would not fall apart when plugging it in or worst unplugging. I was able to use it for my need but barely and with great disappointment. I can see it performing better in other situations but fo pipe inspection it was just barely adequate if you don't expect much in first place. Would not recommend it.

For the money, it's pretty damn good.

I bought it as an ear-scope to look in my own ears, which is not really its recommended purpose, and it's *okay*, but not perfect for the job, for a few reasons.

1) the min focal length is a bit too long, but then I didn't expect it to be perfect at this price, and because it's just not designed for super-up-close focus. Focal length is pretty small: the picture's clear between about 1/4in and 1 inch on mine, and it blurs rapidly between those two ranges.
2) It heats up very quickly, which may be uncomfortable if you're using it in/on flesh. It became hot, but not painfully so even after being on for a day.
3) Cleaning it completely will be tricky.

However:
1) Within the limited focal length, the pictures are crisp and clear.
2) It really is small. Barely thicker than the 5 metre cable it comes on.
3) It does the job, and is crazy cheap.
4) It Just Works, as a generic webcam, without needing to install its own drivers or anything. It comes with a viewing program, but you can just use Skype or whatever you use your normal webcam with instead.
5) I found the camera brightness to be about right for illuminating at the focal length.

Worked Great for few minutes

Only got about 15 minutes use out of it. It got wet, BUT was not underwater at all. In the middle of looking behind firewall in vehicle for rain water it just 'went away'.. MS Windows no longer recognized it..Tried it on different PC's running Windows10 and Vista... while it was working and when I tested it, things were great.. Image was clear and adjusting the LED lites worked fantastic.
I am not sure if moisture got in the Camera Head or the USB Plug and Lite Control went bad. The plug end was extremely sloppy and loose. If I get another one, I will seal around cable/camera connection and beef up the USB plug. No Problem Getting Refund, So that was nice too.
