My Windows 7 performance rating went from a 4.2 to a 7.3 (the grpahics part was 7.6 out of 7.9). I was shocked. Games like CIv5 and mass effect 2 played flawlesly with all the video graphic setting on max. I am only using a AMD Quad processor for the cpu.

well, it was at least until the ASIC miners have started showing up. Next up, it will serve as a lovely gift so my cousin can upgrade his POS computer to something with enuf balls to play real games, not just farmville. If you are using a major brand computer, go upgrade your power supply too, the one that came with it is as cheap as they can possibly make it without getting sued.

I bought 2 of these at $159.00 each, One for my computer, one for my son's computer. I was shocked as the performance was truely impressive. Smooth and quiet. I did NOT overclock them even though the version I bought is the "XOC" (Extreme Overclocking Edition). I was even more shocked when my card died after three weeks of use. My son's card died after 6 weeks of use. Still waiting for a reply from Diamond. Never had a video card fail in 20 years. Now I have two of them in less than two months.
This card has a good reputation. I would by the XFX, or Saphire brand of it... Not the Diamond.
Update: Diamond was very gracious in replacing these cards. However, they replaced them with refurbished cards, not the same serial numbers. And BOTH replacement cards failed.. both were unstable and unusable!!!! They have not replied with my request to correct these two cards. I am now using an XFX 4670 in one machine and an XFX 6850 the other machine with no problems and superior performance.
