She also shows the darker side of the industry for modeling! I almost went into fashion for a career so some of the perspective shown in the book was what I thought at first to be a little out of date considering the industry has gotten better. However there's a dark side to all careers and this book is beautifully dark! Side note: I'm heavily against child pageant crap so with Sohoa's background taken into account you can get the reserve she has.
Great chemistry between my book boyfriend Oliver and Sophia! ! Oliver is my kind of sensual classic man!!!
Great twist at the end! Might I say cliff hanger!!!!
Sophie is a hard headed character, but she's likable and you can understand where she comes from. Especially when you learn what she went through as a kid with her mother.
Oliver knows you have to work hard to get what you want, you have to stand your ground, and he's real. Especially for Sophie. He wants to take care of her, protect her from the harm coming Sophie's way.
The whole time I was rooting for Sophie and Oliver, and my heart squeezed when there was conflicts or miscommunications. It hurt to feel them hurting. I could feel what they were feeling. Elisa did that, these characters were very real for me.
The whole books keeps you on your toes, with trying to figure out who tried to kidnap Sophia, or trying to figure out what is going on with Jess and Eric, or why Jess has these mysterious bruises, and many more things!
I am so excited to read the next book to see what is in store for these characters! Great job, Elisa!
Elisa has a wonderful way with words. There was a balance of equal parts drama and equal parts romance....which was done in a classy way!
She made strong characters and I loved them both.
Can't wait for the next installment.
