The Computer Console
The 510lc has one of the best workout monitors among indoor cycles. A bright, easy to read LCD screen that displays a variety of critical workout statistics including time, speed, distance, burned calories, heart rate and cadence (pedal rotations per minute.)
The Handlebar Heart Rate Monitor
A heart rate monitor is standard on most indoor cycles, however the 510lc boasts accurate heart rate monitors within the handlebars.
Automated Workout Routines
We love the 14 different workout programs available on the 510lc. And for those who need to keep track of their heart rate, the 4 heart rate programs are awesome.

By the same token, athletes can select between 14 workout programs that mimic just about any type of terrain from mountain to hills and everything in between. Additionally, heart patients will certainly relish in the 4 cardiovascular programs that will help them keep a close eye on their heart rates and enjoy a completely safe training session.

Top Customer Reviews
such a disappointment. In the two years that I have owned the
product, it has failed completely three times. In each instance of
failure, the product has required a change of the electric motor.
While parts are covered under warranty for 3 years from the time of
purchase, service is covered for only 1 year. Aftermarket service for
a bike such as this can cost as much as $200, or 30% of list price.
Given the high rate of failure of the equipment under my ownership,
the total cost of ownership will be well in excess of the upfront
I speculate that the electric motor on the bike has failed repeatedly
because it is incapable of maintaining "high" resistance levels for
extended periods of time. I should perhaps have realized that a bike
reliant on a small electric motor paired with magnets would be
inherently more fragile than a bike reliant merely upon manual
resistance. Serious cyclists who are in the market for a stationary
bike should bear this inherent fragility in mind when evaluating this
bike, and should also consider the significant "hidden" aftermarket
costs of failure. There are many compelling options on the market.
Life's too short for this one.
Btw, one more issue. The bike came in a large box loaded with the kind of cheap foam that disintegrates at the slightest touch. It was not easy to dispose of responsibly.
Old review: Sadly, after assembling the 510ic and moving the bike into position in our home gym, it began to make a clanking noise 20 minutes into the inaugural spin. Prior to that it felt great and the display was exactly what I was looking for in this type of equipment.
Amazon is replacing the 510ic which is good, but still a hassle as it needs to be disassembled and repacked. Hopefully we'll have better results with the replacement - second times a charm?
Update - we have had a great experience with the replacement. Great even ride and very low noise. The console is very effective and a great motivator. My only complaint is the location of the bottle holder. I'll post again after I get several months of use on it.
I provided above Christmas time for my wife. We have yet to really use it. Why is that? Because if you have Superman vision and you can read the operators manual [which by the way you have to download from the website] at the same time that you are bicycling at the same time trying to read the very busy and poorly laid out LED screen the controls all the software, then you'll probably like this bike. HOWEVER, if you have normal vision or if you have trouble studying a LED screen from 3 feet away while you are trying to pedal the bicycle, then you should probably buy another product.
I have struggled to find technical support. I finally wound up on the diamondback bike website only to find out that they are not this product manufacturer. The gentleman at diamondback mountain bikes was kind enough to give me the phone number which asked me to leave a message!. No technical support at 11 AM Pacific time on a Tuesday. Just "please leave a message.

I am not a spin doctor, but am comfortable riding 45 to 60 minutes, depending on what I am watching. Someday I will figure out the spin features, but for now, I ride it as a bike without varying resistance. I am fine with that. I easily burn a thousand calories.
Other than riding out doors, I couldn't ask for more.
