Second it is not that "Great" quality that I have seen in the reviews of this bike. All the part are the same as the bikes that are sold at Walmart. The shifter, gears, and brakes are the same as on the Next and Mongoose. Also the peddles had plastic hanging off of them from the molding presses. Not that big of deal can be cleaned up with a utility knife.
Third the brake pads do not hit the rim in the proper spot and if you adjust them up they hit the tire and down and they only hit the outside edge.
So if you are looking at this as I was thinking it is better than the rest. Look again it is the same made in China as the Walmart or Target bikes.
I actually took the bike to our local bike shop. He said this is common on twist shifters, which he also said are difficult for kids to shift. Yet every darn kids bike I looked at seems to have these twist shifters. I guess that's what happens when they put the "bottom of the line" shifters and derailleurs on bikes under $400.
My next bike purchase is back to the bike shop where I bought my Giant bicycle. At least they know me by name.
