Unlike most other sonic repellents which leak and eventually corrode inside, this one is perfectly sealed. Moisture never forms under the dome. I installed them a couple of months ago and they continue to keep the moles and chipmunks at bay.
The orange color is another plus. Because these units are more visible in the grass, they are less likely to be damaged.
There is one design flaw, however. Despite having two solar cells, my units only operate about half the day because they are in the shade for much of the time. I believe this problem could be alleviated by turning off the (unnecessary) night light which drains the battery. Unfortunately, there is no way to do that. The company never responded to my concern.
Nevertheless, these units are well built and I would still recommend them. I will likely buy them again.
