I think this book was a noble attempt to detail her brief and inexperienced life, yet in terms of historical research, it was amazingly incomplete. I felt there was much more research Azar could have done in completing a fuller picture of the her life. She fails to include autobiographical accounts from close family friend, Lili Dehn, for example. I also couldn't understand her perspective in including some of her choices in including Nicholas II's diary entries in this book, since they weren't about Olga. While this book does provide something of her life, it was a disappointing historiographical presentation.
