The wife and I have just gotten into playing Farkle - a dice game. Farkle requires you to roll 6 dice and you score points depending on how the dice fall. The Farkle set we purchased (also on Amazon) came with a plastic cup to mix the dice and then throw them on the table. This was very noisy. So, I looked for an alternative. This cup works great! It is lined with felt on the inside and made from some kind of hard black resin that is a lot sturdier than thin plastic. What a difference in sound when you mix the dice in the cup. It is a lot quieter and the cup feels like it will last forever. For any dice game that you want to play, this is the dice cup for you.

I have been searching for some time for dice cups that won't break the bank. I took the chance with this one hoping I wouldn't regret it. 😱 To my surprise this was great. It's a dice cup with lining serves its purpose very well it does not feel cheap at all.
I am very happy with this purchase compared to other dice cups out there that can easily run $25 & up. This is good.

These are nice; I bought eight of them for a Yahtzee party. Even with people shaking eight cups of dice throughout the night, the room was not too loud for conversation. I can't say it's whisper quiet, but at least it has a really nice sound to it. The dice cups arrived with bar code labels affixed directly to them and it took a long time to get the adhesive off them all.

This is what I'd make if I had to make one. It's made of thick but light solid plastic (so it doesn't 'crush' when you hold it like a plastic cup can), and the lining is secure and well executed. Excellent quality + good price = Five Stars.

Recently, a relative of mine bought Lucky Dice and Cup Set, and I thought it was pretty good. However, I decided to branch out and try my luck with this one. There's something about that green interior. With that said, this is my first plastic, felt/cloth-lined dice cup. The thickness of the hard, plastic exterior ensures that it will withstand some abuse and last a long time. There are no glue issues with the felt/cloth interior. The feel of the cup is smooth. Now, my only issue is that it's noisier than I expected it to be. I was hoping the cloth interior would be thicker, which would reduce the noise more. I haven't used enough dice cups to know just how loud or quiet it is compared to others, but the noise-prevention of the interior is underwhelming, in my opinion. Even so, one thing's for certain: It's MUCH quieter than those cheap, pesky Yahtzee cups!

While it's no fancy leather goblet to toss around some dice, this cup is very effective at making dice rolling with a little more style a breeze.

The cloth/felt interior muffles the noise just enough, with still giving you the satisfying sound of rolling a clump of dice. The outer plastic is sturdy enough for a tumble and not uncomfortable to grab & shake around.

Overall for the price I was definitely surprised how much I like this cup, but beside dice towers - this cannot be beat, bang for buck

is very sturdy, and you don't hear the dice being shook up. Wish it had a cover to store the dice in it, so when it tips over, by some little (or big) people, everything wouldn't come tumbling out. I got one for each of our adult kids also. I'd give it a 5 if it had a cover!

Well first let me say I think I have 2 concepts on this product.

First thoughts on this were from waxing nostalgic in my younger days playing Liar's Dice with what I know now were leather cups. They were nice fit, Large Mouth, Gave a good thud when slamming down the cup, even the smell of the cup was amazing. I was chasing that Ideal when I looked at these and then purchased them. I initially thought the "plastic" notated on the description of these cups implied pleather. What I got was the kind of hard plastic I would use to drive in a nail, maybe tenderize meat. After thwacking it on the counter it was loud and tacky plastic sound like old Yahtzee cups and what I understand Farkle uses.

Now shaking the dice, it does a decent job reducing shaking sound. The mouth of the cup and the overall size? Way too narrow for liars dice less you use really smallish dice. And the overall feel is like holding a smallish cup made for Children/young teens. Now will this cup last? It will probably one of the few things found in a post apocalyptic world. Does it shake dice and Reduce noise? Yes! Is it worth the purchase price? If you are what I call a casual dice roller (playing once or twice a month) it would be fine. In those respects I would give it 4/5 stars. However, if you are like me and wanted to recreate that feel and experience you got when playing dice in a bar/tavern? These seem to be a poor knockoff. Hence my 2/5 stars. I am returning all 4 cups and going for Leather Cups to replace.
