Editorial Reviews

"The award-winning DICK POWELL THEATRE is a 24-carat gem from the Golden Age of Television. It brought together veteran stars and exciting new actors with top directors, writers and cameramen to create a series of fresh, unforgettable dramas that kept America home on Tuesday nights. Discover--or remember--why as Dick Powell presents THE PRICE OF TOMATOES. Peter Falk drove off with an Emmy for his portrayal of a young trucker who's risked his life's savings to get a load of tomatoes from Texas to Cincinnati...fast. He's two hours ahead of his competition when he hits a detour: a hitchhiker (Inger Stevens) on the run from the immigration authorities, ready to give birth and determined that her baby will be born an American. Falk's in trouble because the tomatoes won't wait...but neither will the stork!"

i had high hopes after ordering this dvd since the description said acceptable or something to that effect. However, when I played the dvd the sound was sporadic, at times behind the words being spoken by the actors and the flow of the movie was jerky. The description should have said, sound and film problems. What a waste of money!!!
