My advice to anyone trying to figure out the sizing is to trust their sizing chart. I ordered a size up because of the whole "junior fit" thing and I shouldn't have. Seriously though, who makes junior fit maternity clothes? Even if you had no hips or butt before you got pregnant, I'm sure you do now. I've always been "bottom-heavy" so I went a size up thinking the junior fit would not be able to accommodate my curves. The hips and thigh fit on the large is a little big but OK - the problem is actually the belly band. It's a knit fabric without much elasticity so the sizing on it is pretty precise. I am 7 months along and I am using safety pins to take off about 2 inches on each side of the belly band. The waist/hip fit has the adjustable elastic so that has been fine but there is no adjustability to the belly band. I should probably have tried a medium but if I send these back, I'll have nothing to wear to work so safety pins it is!
The one thing that I was quite happy with was the length. I have a 33" inseam normally and I expected these to be floods but I think the inseam measurement given (30.5") actually goes to where the pant leg is split at the very bottom, giving them an extra inch or two. They're a little short but I don't look as ridiculous as I expected.
I am 21 weeks pregnant and have a lot of room to grow.
When putting on they seem very roomy in the top part where the spandex is.
I was worries at first because moving and bending might create the pants not to stay put.
However, this is not so due to the fact that the spandex part goes higher so that they will stay put.
As far as comfort, they are very comfortable. Can't wait to try them out on the units.
I am debating on ordering another pair because these are the only ones that I have that are maternity and I have 4 more
months to go before maternity leave.
