It is difficult for most Vietnamese to use this dictionary as they don't know Latin. But for those who are fluent in Latin, or at least understand Latin, this is a great treasure trove. Few dictionaries compiled later can compete with the comprehensiveness of thos work. Bishop Taberd did a tremendous job in researching the various meanings of every Vietnamese word used in his time and translating them in simple Latin.
Vietnamese scholars, and scholars who are interested in the Vietnamese language and culture will always use thos dictionary with reverence and gratitude. As a matter of fact, all Vietnamese should be grateful for this masterpiece.
