About the Author
Jane Reichhold began writing haiku in 1967, in addition to her free-lance writing for magazines in the US and Europe. Later as editor of MIRRORS - The International Haiku Forum and, in 1992, co-editor of LYNX, web-mistress at AHApoetry.com and the TANKA SPLENDOR Awards she consolidated her efforts in bringing Japanese genre poetry to a wider audience. Presently she has 17 books to her credit in haiku, tanka and renga.

And the haiku themselves are astonishingly well crafted. Reichhold's approach is capacious and she freely merges western poetic techniques with the haiku craft. The result works; it sparkles with life.
I cannot recommend this book too highly. For those who are haiku poets themselves, or are aspiring haiku poets, or simply enjoy reading haiku, this book will open many doors.
I love the way the collection is organized under headings and seasons. This makes it easy to dip into according to one's mood. This would make a super addition to any library.
