Buyer Beware!

I bought these for my daughter for Christmas. I told her that if she broke them I wouldn't replace them. I made sure she was keeping them in the included carrying case. They have been great according to her till the other day. For no apparent reason she lost sound in the left ear. I thought, well they are only 2 months old, should still be under some kind of warranty and I should be able to get them replaced no problem.

Well for the past week I have been arguing with Beats support (Monster has completely removed themselves from the equation and discontinued the product even though the booklet in the package says to contact them) over the legitimacy of the pair I bought. Even though this is "Fulfilled by Amazon" Beats support will not repair/replace this product if they are not sold by an authorized seller.

Here is what they told me:

If you are having any issues with your headphones, I would advise contacting the retailer to see what they can do for replacement. As the retailer is not authorized we cannot confirm if these are authentic beats headphones or not.

I called them on their BS but they wouldn't budge. So now I have a $60 piece of junk that's essentially unusable since it has been too long since I purchased them to contact the original seller about the defect.

Hopefully you will read this and do 2 things, not buy this product (apologies to the current reseller of this on Amazon), and not buy ANY Beats product! If they are not even going to allow someone to return the product to see if it is a legitimate Beats product then why would anyone bother trying them out? I will not but that's my biased opinion.

So again I say Buyer Beware!

Really Upset

At first glance, I was amazed by its color, shape, and the delicate box. But, it's really NOT user-freindly.
The earbud or the line is too heavy! It easily falls out of my ears! And although I tried all the earbud, but
none of them work! It really makes my ears uncomfortable. It's not worth so much money!

These headphones look nice and have a good weight to them. I was a bit hesitant as others stated the weight resulted in them falling out easily. However, I haven't had this problem yet. I think they sound great as well. I also love the control talk. I haven't had any problems with it yet, but on an old pair of Tours, they did go out eventually, but hopefully that's not going to happen anytime soon with these. All in all, these look nice, feel nice, and sound nice.

I don't know what these other reviews are saying with the fit but the package gives you more than enough sizes to fit. They're even specially soft-fitted individually packaged fitted ear buds in case the others were uncomfortable. They are not as heavy as they look or what those other reviews were saying.
Overall it's perfect balanced to R & B, Hip-Hop, and Pop Music is very clean without distortion. I feel it could improve with added volume control on the mic like the Dr. Dre beats and the packaging is not as detailed as the Dr. Dre. but who really cares unless you use the box as a decoration. Sound quality is great and the look and feel is great so I'm very happy with this purchase. I'll be using it in the car when you need a handsfree device while listening to music. It's also a bonus that it included a small clip to attach to your cord to your shirt, Dr. Dre beats didn't include this clip on all models which I also bought, instead Dr. Dre included a cleaning cloth which I will never use. Shout out to Monster Cable for the build!

Knock Offs

I bought these to replace a pair (exact same kind) that I left on an airplane. I loved them and decided to replace them via Amazon. The pair I received was nothing near what I previously had. They were cheap plastic. I lot of reviews talk about them being heavy. Yes, the originals were (not the best for exercising) but not the pair I received via Amazon. Even had a little plastic rivet that would scratch my ear when I put them in. The case that should have a db on it did not. The magnet on the case was almost not existent and would stay closed. Highly disappointed in these. Fortunately for me I knew what the real pair should look and feel like. Don't wasted your money.

When is Dre going to make ear tips?

None of the packaged ear tips worked for me.
The ones that actually stayed in my ears felt like they had collapsed my ear drum and were touching my brain.
The ones that felt good, didn't stay in my ear for more than 20 seconds. Forget about walking around with these things in.

Even the ones that could stay in my ears for a long period of time, I ran into another issue, the cord. While yes, this bad boy is 'tangle free'; the darn thing is so heavy that when it bumps against something (a jacket per say), it starts the slow arduous process of falling out of your ear.

The sound quality is pretty awesome though, if you can deal with the every 20 second adjustment it takes to wear these.

Who made these anyways?
Is it Dre or Diddy or both?
I got beef.

Separate Review - Meanwhile my co-worker has in-ear Beats by Dre (non-Diddy beats); and he loves and wants to marry them. To each their own.

Great performance & quality, all the different tips make them comfortable, they really reduce noise which is good to enjoy your music and so you don't have to hurt your ears with crazy high volume. The control talk is good, you just need to remember the different options like "click twice for shuffle" etc just to make better use of it, but the answer-hang up is easy. The flat cord is great cause it really is tangle-free.
