I've read almost all of Joe Duncan's books and every time I finish one I'm either smiling, shivering, or shaking my head in wonder that a writer could create new twists on such very familiar territory for me (horror genre). I absolutely loved "Die Laughing". It's perfect, inhabiting zombie apocalypse territory with frat-boy humor, injecting kindness and pathos where you're least expect it to be. I like the way Duncan never sews up the corpse neatly but leaves a few stitches open for you to draw your own conclusions about what happened next... Highly recommend!

From the auther that brought us The Oldest Living Vampire Saga. Die Laughing is a short story set in the same universe as Mort (The Fearlanders), its gross and funny and in a couple of scenes a little bit heartbreaking.
I really liked this story, even though its a little short but id still recommend it. Probably not for anyone easily offended.

I started this last night, reading in bed. Usually I nod off after a while and pick it up the next night.
Instead, I was riveted and ended up having a very late night. What a fascinating take on the zombie mythos! This was funny, sad, fun, tragic, bizarre.... I could go on but I think you get the picture. ;)
Highly recommended.

This is great fast read especially if you've read Mort by Rod Redux. A different twist on zombies and very funny too. If you liked this book and haven't read Mort I strongly suggest you read it. Thanks Rod for all the funny scary stories!

A group of zombie apocalypse survivers desire to spit in the face of their impending demlse and not go quietly into the night. It's funny, tragic and ironic. What more could be expected from a bunch of frat rats.

I frikkin love this author.A Neanderthal vampire?brilliant..I've read all his stuff up till now.still hoping for more Gon.maybe some renaissance action..I highly recommend his books.they do tend to be shorter than I would like but they are also cheaper.

This was disappointing. I love this author's other work, but this was tough to get through. Did someone else use his name?
