Otherwise, the book is alright, but nothing that screams to me as the reader how epic the recipes and ideas are. Could be my tastebuds though.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

I am currently pre-diabetic and trying to drop weight in order to hopefully not become a diabetic. My doctor recommended that I look into going low carb or grain free so I came across this book and figured I should try. I like how this book states it’s not about weight loss right off the bat. However, that this way of eating can still reduce my risk of becoming diabetic grabbed my attention. Also their advice on breaking bad habits in order to make this way of eating gradually become a lifestyle change. I am glad that the authors recognize that completely changing everything can be very difficult so they have a way for you to wean yourself off the junk and processed foods.
I enjoy that the book covers not only recipes, but the building blocks like how to cook and what you should eat and what you should try to avoid. This book mentions being aware of how many calories your body needs, but then doesn’t give calorie estimates for any of the recipes or even the number of servings in the recipe. At first I thought each recipe must just be a single serving or for two for the first couple I looked at, but then as I flipped through the pages the ingredient amounts went higher and I realized there isn’t a fixed serving size throughout the book. Again, it’s not a weight loss book, but I think it should have been included. I liked the recipe key for the grain free section. Each recipe has a key that states whether it is gluten free, paleo, or low carb. I really enjoy the table of contents being linked to the recipes for a quick guide and it also has the recipe key next to the recipe. So you can easily identify which recipes in section 2 you can try by looking at the table of contents if you follow a specific diet whether for medical or personal reasons.
For the recipe quality, I have made a couple dishes and I enjoyed them. The ebook does not have pictures, but I guess that’s typical. The instructions are easy to follow. I would recommend this book to a friend. I did receive this product either free or at a discount for my honest review.

Do you have an inflammation issue in your body? I do. I have fibromyalgia and gout. I have been changing my diet for the past 4 years and certain things have helped. I did go gluten free but it wasn't enough. I have been listening to several people talk about so many different diets lately. Then I was able to get this book and it is really well done. There are two sections to the book. The first one talks about the anti-inflammatory diet and gives the reasons behind this approach. Then there are some fantastic recipes that follow. My family has tried many of them now. Some of our favorites are Lentil Soup, Maple-Flavored Salmon, and Mixed Veggie Salad. The recipes are well written and give explanations of how to do something for those not familiar with the ins and outs of cooking. The second section covers going Grain Free. There are several pages talking about why a person should go grain free and then there are more great recipes following. From these recipes, our favorites so far have been: Cheese Crisps, Split Pea and Mushroom Soup, and Roasted Winter Squash. I do want to point out a small problem I saw in our most favorite recipe of the whole book. In the recipe for the Delicious Cucumber Salad, in the final steps of the directions, it says to combine 3 tablespoons of vinegar with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. They really mean 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise. This particular recipe was a hit for everyone. We have really enjoyed adding recipes to our home and I am working to lessen my inflammation. Disclaimer: I did receive the opportunity to read this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Don't waste your time on this book. Grain free cooking yet many of the recipes contain grains! Or have a suggested serve with bran muffin or whole wheat toast for example. Not a good book at all.
