Top Customer Reviews
When they say this is a big lantern, they mean it. It holds a lot of fuel, it burns a very long time, and it produces a noticeable amount of heat. This is not the sort of lantern you want to be carrying around with you all night. Save that for a Junior or Little Wizard. Put this lantern down on a stable sturdy surface (Like a kitchen counter for example) and it just does its thing.
Ad copy said these were used for greenhouse heaters, and I believe it. Clear white light, stable wide base thanks to the large fount. The one I bought is blue, and it is well made and does not leak. I would absolutely buy one again if I found one for the right price.
Photos of my lantern collection, the two big ones are the Jupiters. One of the Jupiters is the bad one, even sitting still it doesn't burn right, I'm trying to use up its kerosene then it's going to hang somewhere for looks as I can't use it. The smaller one is the little wizard and the red one is a English lantern.
