Product description

Product Description

HardWire DL-8 Stereo Delay/Looper

The HardWire DL-8 Delay/Looper is a true delay powerhouse in a single stompbox footprint. Augment your performances with a rich and diverse palette of delays including Reverse, Modulated, Analog, Slapback, Lo Fi, and Tape. Dial in from an impressive delay range (from 15 milliseconds to 8 seconds) or Loop in true stereo for up to 20 seconds. And the built-in Tap Tempo function and Tails on/off switch feature will make the DL-8 at home on any pedalboard. As with all HardWire pedals, the DL-8 is crafted from premium all-metal components to perform night after night, tour after tour.

Meticulous Craftsmanship

Extreme Performance Pedals represent the HardWire commitment to quality and attention to subtle details. In addition to technical enhancements like true bypass and high voltage operation, all HardWire pedals feature rugged, all-metal construction; a wide, stage-stable footprint; durable, custom-machined metal knobs for a sure grip; and precision potentiometers that guarantee knob positions will stay intact. HardWire reflects an unprecedented level of craftsmanship that we are proud to introduce into the world of effects pedals

True Innovation

Having over 25 years experience with the needs, habits and necessity-driven workarounds of gigging musicians, HardWire engineers devised a set of performance accessories that eliminate some of the most common — and most frustrating — live performance hassles.

Includes Stomplock

This unique new device fits snugly over HardWire knobs to protect your finely-tuned settings from the drops, bumps and kicks that inevitably take place when you and your pedal perform.

Hardwire True Bypass

Your guitar and amp are the foundation of your tone. You need to make sure that when you add any pedal to your signal chain it’s not creating undesirable noise or coloring the unique character of your tone. In a true bypass pedal, the signal passes straight through the box when the effect is bypassed.

Includes Glow-In-The-Dark Label

Fumbling on a dimly-lit stage for the right pedal is a thing of the past with this indispensable asset—now your HardWire pedal will be clearly in sight from dusk till dawn.

Hardwire Constant Voltage

Battery-powered effects typically perform their best with a fresh battery. As the voltage of the battery decreases, effects can become gritty and distorted. With HardWire pedals, the same circuitry that boosts the voltage also keeps it constant throughout the life of the battery.

Includes Diecut Velcro Mounting Pad

All HardWire pedals include both die cut a velcro mounting pad for mounting on a pedalboard and an anti-skid pad for use on the floor. The soft durometer anti-skid pad with high visco-elasticity and a unique tread design ensures a firm grip to any stage.

HardWire High Voltage Rails

With the high-output pickups found on some electric guitars, it’s not unusual to hear clipping when playing through an effects pedal. This occurs when the voltage range produced by a guitar’s pickup is greater than the operating voltage of the effects pedal – normally limited to the voltage supplied by the pedal’s battery or power supply. HardWire pedals incorporate special circuitry that increases the operating voltage “headroom” above that of the typical pedal. As such, HardWire pedals benefit a wider range of guitars and are also at home in an amplifier’s effects loop.

From the Manufacturer

DL-8 Delay/Looper presents a variety of loops and delays. Augment your performances by dialing in and fine-tuning your favorite delays (from 150 milliseconds to 8 seconds) and loops: Reverse, Modulated, Analog, Slapback, Lo Fi, Tape, and Loop. As with all HardWire pedals, the DL-8 is crafted from premium all-metal components to perform night after night, tour after tour.

HardWire pedals modify your guitar tone only when you want. HardWire pedals add pure effects when they’re on and don’t add noise when they’re off—truly the best of both worlds. And if you happen to lose power to HardWire pedals in the middle of a performance, you can keep playing because HardWire pedals switch to True Bypass mode until power is restored.

Higher Voltage .
HardWire pedals preserve guitar tone because they operate at a significantly higher voltage than your standard pedals. HardWire pedals get the most out of hot guitar pickups and perform flawlessly in the high voltage environment of an amplifier effects loop.

Constant Voltage.
HardWire pedals guarantee constant effects performance throughout the life of the battery and prevent tone loss because they operate at a steady voltage—independent of decaying battery voltage.

Tourworthy.
HardWire pedals are designed for the touring musician. Unique Stomplock™ guards prevent controls from being kicked and your tone from being changed. Each HardWire pedal includes custom-cut Velcro® pads to fasten it to a pedalboard and green gaffer tape for the actuator label and see the pedal in the most adverse stage lighting conditions.

Superior Technology

HardWire™ True Bypass

Serious musicians are highly selective in their guitar and amp choices. After all, it’s the foundation of their tone. Adding effects to their signal chain is done with great care and consideration. And when they turn off an effects pedal, they need to know it’s not creating undesirable noise or coloring the unique character of their tone. In a true bypass pedal, the signal passes straight through the box when the effect is bypassed (Figure 1). When it’s on, it’s on. When it’s off, it’s off. All HardWire pedals feature true bypass.
