This camera was a huge disappointment. It is very poorly constructed with very 'cheap' components. The button to take a photo also serves as the switch between functions. The button was sticking, and going in crooked from the very beginning. The entire camera is made of lightweight materials that would be more fitting for a toy. The digital screen display was very poor also. Don't waste your money. Spend a few more dollars and purchase a 'real' camera, not a toy.

This is the perfect camera both for beginners and slightly advanced. Its very light weight, comes fully charged, contains 2 batteries (700 milliamps), lanyard rope charger, memory card along with other necessary accessories. No purchasing batteries, it charges with USB. I was pleasently surprised at the many options it has for the cost! Viewing screen is nice size, and it takes great pictures and videos (which are able to be paused)! The zoom is a fantastic additional option as well as the auto-flash. Shipping was fast and camera was packaged extremely secure!! It works as well as the Ibert Camera! It has head mount for tripod! You may purchase a point and shoot case for it as little as $8.99! The only drawback is that you (Mom or Dad) may have to program it (do the setup) depending how electronic savey your child. Buy with confidence ~ I highly recommend this great little camera!!!

pros.
can be used as a web cam at 1080x720
comes with 2 battery's and it can charge from USB the same time you are using it( cannon why can you do this this is under 60$$!!!!)
digital zoom work in web cam mode this is nice.
Light weight.

Cons...
this is fix focused camera so face detection is nice but usless.... it is infinite focused about 2 feet from the lens.
the auto white exposure is glitchy but to be expected at this price range
the flash is just a led light it doesn't flash it just turns on like a flash light and this would be nice if it worked in webcam mode but it dose not.

over all for this price range i like this and i didn't know when I purchased it I could use this as a web cam so this will soon like on my octo pi setup on the 3d printer for time-lapse.
