Grady Harp HALL OF FAME TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
"The infectious flavor of Reilly's writing hit us as she opens her story with the following - 'I move frequently-- but gain no distance. I am warm, moist, and dark but give no comfort. I can stretch and shrink, giving or taking at will, bringing both pain and pleasure with each. "If God wanted you to tie the knot, he'd give you a near-death experience to better appreciate life, along with a craving for procreation. Then he'd smother your soul with the essence of venison, squirrel, frog legs, taters, or beer, to attract a likely counterpart from the sticks. No, wait. The latter has already happened, hasn't it? Sorry." Ethan narrowly kept his balance on the green-slicked, handmade bricks leading up the two-story, mauve-colored Victorian. If his 210-pound mass ended up sprawled on the steps, no doubt the picture would be splashed all over the precinct by noon with various unsavory captions. "Maybe you should try it. The stick up you're a** has to cause at least minor discomfort." Larrick's early-morning snark was a common greeting. "Hey, I'm a normal guy." Ethan glared over his shoulder. Larrick snorted. "Still wet from our early-morning storm. Watch your step, it's slippery." Scanning the myriad amorphous shadows lurking in the wood line, realization struck that he and his partner were sitting ducks if a sniper perched among the loblolly pine and oak trees lining the front and side yards.'
This is a mystery thriller romance and is well outlined as follows - 'The deadliest weapons are the ones we never see. Keyboard prodigy, Lexi Donovan has risen from teenage orphan of the streets to complete independence with little help along the way. When a friend is threatened, Lexi's anonymous message sends police into a firefight, leading to a wounded cop. Detective Ethan McAllister's well-ordered life turned upside down the day an obscure text message led to a sexual predator's identity. Since then, Callouston PD's finest can't trace the elusive hacker. The latest tip leads him to a brutal mutilation and a riddle indicating the identity of the next murder victim. The dark net houses a playground for the morally depleted and criminally insane. When Lexi discovers the killer's digital betting arena, she finds herself centered in a cyber stalker's crosshairs bearing equal talent. Street life strengthened Lexi while toughening her protective shell, but nothing could shield her from the shrewd detective forging a path to her heart.'
Terrific novel from a writer of immense skill. This is a series to follow!" Grady Harp

Loved it !
"I am no stranger to Reily Garrett and I have mentioned this in so many of my other reviews. I was lucky to be first approached by this amazing author to review some of her other titles and now I am even luckier to be part of a blog tour promoting her new series. As other books by her, "Digital Velocity" is a great combination between passion and mystery. She has a way of building our suspense and keeping us fully emerged in her story!" - Lilly's Book World
Super Start to the series
"Kicking of a new series from Reily Garrett, Digital Velocity has everything that you could possibly be looking for...There is a lot that I could say, not only about the storyline but also about the pace and style of the book but in all honesty, this is a story that should be experienced, the depth of detail and authenticity of the actions and incidents were second to none. I thought the author was able to place me centrally into the storyline and to orchestrate the story all around me, I felt engaged and engulfed. Ethan and Lexi were superb but I thoroughly enjoyed all the sharp banter that all of the guys brought to the page. These were guys that I wanted to spend time with and that I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in the squad room with, they called it as they saw it and took their opportunities when they were presented.
A superb start to the series, can't wait for the next book!" - Books Laid Bare
"A fascinating and intriguing romantic suspense story with a captivating and entertaining cast of characters and complex murder cases that keep the readers on their toes." - Books And Spoons
Love the McAllister's!!!
"I really like where Reily Garrett is taking these characters. She has written a really good murder mystery that allows Lexi and Ethan's relationship to take off. I love Ethan's bothers and sister. And I also love how that allows Lexi to enter into a family. Reily really made Lexi's introduction into his family believable for me. And Lexi allowed herself to have faith that Ethan would not let her down. I can't wait to see where Reily takes this series!!!" - Romance Between The Sheets
"This is a good solid murder mystery, written in a relaxed style with plenty of banter and innuendo between the male characters. There is a good twist at the end and some believable red herrings along the way." - Roses are Amber
About the Author
Over time, andseveral careers, many incidents have flavored the plots of her stories. Man'scruelty and ingenuity for torment and torture is boundless, not contained by aninfinite imagination. Witnessing the after-effects of a teenager mugged atknife point for a pair of tennis shoes, or an elderly woman stabbed repeatedlywith a screwdriver for no apparent reason, left an indelible impression thatwill forever haunt her subconscious. In counterpoint, she has observed a womanstop her vehicle in severe, snowy weather to offer her own winter coat to a stranger, a teenager wearing a threadbarehoodie. Life's diversities are endless.
Though her kidsare her life, writing is Reily's life after. The one enjoyed after the kids arein bed or after they're in school and the house is quiet. This is the time shekicks back with laptop and lapdog to give her imagination free rein.
