A beautiful frame that would fit in a variety of decors

This quality Vera Wang digital photo frame will fit into most types of decors with it's simple and classic styling. The elegant black and silver looks especially nice with black and white digital photos. The part of the screen where the photo appears is 8 inches in diameter and has a 4:3 aspect ratio screen so you see the the full photo without having to crop the picture or see black space at the top and bottom. Your photo fills the screen. It has a resolution of 800X600 which means the photos are sharp and clear as long as you shoot the photo in at least that resolution. The frame holds up to 1600 photos, depending on their resolution, with an internal 256 MB internal memory. You can input photos with its card reader from SD, xD, MS, MS Pro and MMC memory cards. It also has a USB port so photos can be loaded from a flash drive or from a camera or smartphone, using the adaptor that comes with the phone or camera. It comes with a remote control, A/C adaptor and user guide. It' not your typical digital frame, in fact it's the one I've ever seen. This would make a lovely gift.

I echo the others here. The frame is beautiful, but the engineering behind it is embarrassingly bad. The stand is flimsy to the point that one has to use tricks to keep it upright. The storage capacity is tiny, they could walk to a defunct radio shack and find memory cards in their trash that would hold more pictures. The logic behind the menus seems to have been written by a dyslexic fourth-grader. Not one component is intuitive. The remote occasionally works, so there is that. The processor (and I use that term very loosely) is so slow that it takes me back to my TRS-80 days. Push a button....wait....wait...a response appears, push another button....wait...wait...wait...wait....push the button again....dammit, it took both of them, go back. Push a button...wait....wait and so it goes.

I have an old digital frame which only shows pictures - with this frame there is a clock and music. It seems as though it has many more features than a standard digital frame. I can't comment as to ease of setting it up and the quality of these features, but I was impressed.

If I had one criticism I wish the photo frame stand on the back opened out a bit further as its plastic it doesn't feel very sturdy to take the weight of the photo frame. But I'm still pleased I bought it. You also have the option to hang the photo frame on the wall.
