My policy is to either rate no lower than three stars or not to review at all. But this book really disappointed. Literally a couple of good insights into the Enneagram, but to me, it was meant more as an introduction to Eastern spirituality.
I could be wrong, but the book strongly impressed me as wanting to piggyback off the Enneagram--yet not to teach about the Enneagram; instead its aim is to promote Eastern spirituality.
If you want a really good introduction to the Enneagram, it's hard to find better than Riso and Hudson's The Wisdom of the Enneagram: The Complete Guide to Psychological and Spiritual Growth for the Nine Personality Types. For deeper insight, I strongly recommend Personality Types: Using the Enneagram for Self-Discovery
Unfortunately, neither the product description nor the reviews indicate the promotion of Eastern spirituality contained within the book.
I no longer own the book, but the feeling of being duped into buying the book has stayed with me.
I really wish the book had been described more honestly. Honest product descriptions help authors avoid receiving reviews like this one.
