First, jeans for $10? I was skeptical. But they *look* beautiful and they are super soft and comfy (I read someone say the seams fall apart, so I'll be on the lookout for that over the next month and report back if anything happens; just got mine today, though, and everything looks intact and shockingly high-quality for the price).
Second, length is great. I'm 5'2-5'3, but my torso just incredibly short (My bra size is 30DD/32D, but my ribcage is actually 28.5 inches. Teeny tiny, and my shoulders are more narrow than anyone else's I've ever seen. We're talking like 10 year-old's have wider shoulders). I've found that my legs are approx the length of someone 5'4-5'6, depending on the person's torso. So the size small actually wasn't that long on me, even though someone else, a reviewer who's 5'9 and wears a size 5, could also wear the size small. The model in the picture has a lot more ruffling in the picture than I do. I also lift weights, though (as in squats and deadlifts; real weights), so my legs are a bit thicker than most people who typically wear a size 0 (my normal size). I'm only 105-110 lbs, though, so it's not like I'm actually super thick; just thicker than the average size 0, especially in the butt area.
Third, and most important: My rear-end looks incredible. That's why we all bought these, right? My actual measurements are 36-24-37. This *does* mean that the waist is pretty large on me, but because the material is clingy, it 's not a big deal. Someone else said they had a 2 inch gap; I also have a 2 inch or so gap, but only if I pull it from my body; you actually can't tell how loose it is, because the material, like I said, hugs your body. I don't even need a belt. I'm also pretty used to this happening to me with jeans, because my waist is XS but my hips are medium-sized. I'd have liked these to fit a bit tighter, of course, but they're not noticeably loose and they stay on just fine, so it's really not a big deal.
My thoughts about these jeans are that I'd imagine they'd look good on most body types, unless you're *really* thin and not very tall, to balance it out. Because they're stretchy but made of clingy material, they're pretty forgiving. If you're really thin with a small butt, though, they're probably not going to work for you -- unless you're really tall. Then I think they'd probably be alright. My sister is actually 5'10/5'11 and also 36-24-36. She and I have completely different body types and yet both can wear a size small, usually; it's really all a matter of knowing the right type of clothing for your body type.
