My son loves this app, and has learned a lot about dinosaurs because of it. However, I'm very disappointed that the only way to add the extra dinosaur packs is through in-app purchases. We use Freetime and in-app purchases will not work, so now my son is constantly upset that he can see the ads for the extra packs, but I can't buy them as they won't work in Freetime. Technically, this is more the fault of Amazon and their Freetime app, but I wish the creators of the game would offer the extra dino packs directly through the app store, so minus a star for that.
My 2 year old son loves Dinosaur Train, though some aspects of this game are a little over his head he loves to listen to the Conductor talk about the different dinosaurs. He can make the dinosaurs "dance", by far his favorite part of the game is feeding the dino's in x-ray mode and watch the food go down into the stomach. It would be nice if the text were a little bit bigger, it would be a bit easier to read, as my son is only 2 that isn't as important. I would also have liked the ABC song in the game somewhere. Over all a great app.
Fun game, great for learning about dinos, a little less so for learning letters. My gripe is that it needs to mention the letter, not JUST the name of dinosaur. It would be great if it said "A is for Amargasaurus" instead of just "Amargasaurus" when you select a dinosaur on the train.
My youngest had been struggling with alphabet order and remembering how to sing/say the ABCs in order. I bought this app several months ago and I do think it's helped as reinforcement. It gives him something that he feels is a game to play and I feel is still helping learning wise. So good compromise ;-) Haven't had any problems with it on our devices.
Would love to see this app actually say the letters. I know it's an app to learn about dinosaurs but why not just add the letters. Like B is for brachiosaurus.
I LOVE IT!! they have dinosaurs for every letter, its a lot of fun, they give you facts about them, which I love , I love leanring something new!! but the only down side is make you pay for more dinosaurs, I dont like that at all bc they made you buy for the app than make you pay aging if you more of them sides that I love it!!
My niece totally enjoyed this app. She immediately started telling me about the different dinosaurs an telling me which ones were vegetarians. Can't wait to see her again and go through the book to see what she remembers about the different dinosaurs.
My daughter loves dinosaur train and dinos in general right now plus she is starting to really learn her letters so this was perfect. Gave it 4 stars only because I will end up spending more money on extra dino packs.
Mi hijo de tres años le gusta mucho pero se aburre un poquito porque no es un juego. Hay muchos dinosaurios con información sobre ellos y las letras del alfabeto. Le gusta copiar y dibujar los dinosaurios.
