Dip 'n Grow is one of the most effective rooting hormones available. Propagators at nurseries and universities nationwide have increased their yields with this seed-starting product and found Dip 'n Grow to be more economical and easier to use than other rooting agents.

Dip 'n Grow features a liquid concentrate easily diluted with water to the necessary strength. The formula contains two root-inducing auxins. Alcohol is used as the solvent for the active ingredients, so Dip 'n Grow is self-sanitizing and cross-contamination problems are eliminated.

I've seen complaints about this product, but I'm here to tell you, I have none. I love it.
The complaints come from too much wasted product on small batches of plants to be propagated. It isn't tocoet science. Convert the lowest common denominator to drops. 20 drops of product to 60 drops of water, and you have a perfect amount of solution for small propagations. I use a plastic pipette and a medicine cup, like the ones from liquid cold medicines. I propagated 10 plants recently, and it only took days for the roots to develop. I didn't lose a single plant in the process. They are already showing beautiful, healthy shoots from the original propagation in under 3 weeks.
I recommend this product if you're willing to think outside the box. I bought the product based on what others just couldn't seem to figure out on their own.

I really like this product for plants unfortunately it is completely ineffective no matter what concentration I use for hair regrowth. I may have to try something like Rogaine or other prescription based medication for that unless I wanted to replace my missing hair with something like Chia which is something else I may have too look into as it might be cool for a man of my profession to have a Bob Ross esque head of hair composed completely of Chia plants.

Probably not for the average home gardener who only wants to take a few cuttings

This may be as claimed, the best rooting hormone in the universe but it is probably not best suited for the average home gardener who only wants to take a few cuttings. The excellent instructions are heavy on warnings, designed to be scary and probably for good reason. They recommend you store it in a locked cabinet.

It is a liquid concentrate, you dilute depending on what you are trying to root. Dilute solution more for softwood cuttings and less so for hardwood.
There is a handy measuring cup which makes getting the mix right very easy. Anything you don't use within 10 hours becomes ineffective and you are instructed to throw away. It is hazardous to humans and animals so you will want to think carefully about how you dispose of it.

Each bottle contains 2 ounces. The mark on the dilution cup seems to indicate using 20/100ths ounce per batch so you would get 10 batches per bottle. There is enough solution in each batch for several hundred cuttings but if you are only making half a dozen it gets a bit spendy!

Money no object? Go for it! Put on your safety goggles, long sleeves and rubber gloves in case of splashes and wash thoroughly when finished.

I will probably stick with Clonex Gel which is a bit more amateur friendly, doesn't need to be mixed and is less wasteful.

And this beats the all.I literally dip then for a few Seconds and put them in some media. Then into a ziplock bag. Mist it and put it in the windows.. Two weeks later I get roots and these are from hardwoods.

This is the best rooting hormone on the market. It is an alcohol solution that contains two of the most powerful rooting hormones: IBA and NAA. All other rooting hormones on the market, except the products from Hortus and Rhizopon, are less potent. Studies show that IBA is the most powerful of the rooting hormones, but having NAA mixed in has been shown to increase the rates of success and the quality of the roots. Similarly, studies show that mixing the hormones into alcohol helps them absorb more quickly into the plant cutting. Another benefit of the alcohol is that it disinfects the cutting, which prevents the cutting from being infected with fungus or bacteria that would otherwise rot the cutting. The disadvantage of the alcohol is that some cuttings from certain types of plants can be "burned" by the alcohol. This burning can be controlled by diluting the solution in water, and also by limiting the amount of time the cutting is dipped in the solution.

Going back to preventing cuttings from rotting before they grow roots, I highly recommend using the Root Riot plugs instead of soil or anything else for sticking the cuttings into. The Root Riot plugs have natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties as well as a terrific spongey texture that is excellent for rooting cuttings.

No luck with my Blueberry cuttings.

Tried this to try to root blueberry cuttings. Last year I tried rooting several blueberry cuttings using Miracle Gro fast rooting powder, but none of them rooted. This year I tried rooting about a dozen blueberry cuttings in three different pots using dip n grow, Miracle grow powder and Midas Products rooting gel. I placed 3 small pots inside a 5 gal bucket with the cuttings and covered the top with a saucer tray to hold in the humidity. After 2 months, almost all of the cuttings have died. At this point I'm not sure why none of the cuttings were successful. I guess this blueberry bush doesn't want to be cloned. YouTube video says set them aside for a few minutes after dipping them. I placed them straight into the soil after dipping them. Now I'm trying ROOT PODS to see if those work.

Followed the instructions for dilution and dip time and placed them in pre-moistened perlite by a window that gets about 4-5 hours of sun a day. Kept cuttings and perlite wet with a spray bottle every other day. The results speak for themselves.

Great for cloning plants from cuttings

I've used this on and off with an areoponic cloner for years. I dip the cuttings then add the cup to the cloner. I can say without a doubt the clones root faster (~2 days sooner to show roots) and produce much larger root structures when using this in combination with rapid start the when just using the rapid start alone in my cloner.
