Top customer reviews
-reasonably priced for bagless system
-easy dust dispose system
-wand can be easily taken off from hose so you can use the hose to clean furniture, wall edges, windows.
-the air vent was blowing backward to the ground, potentially steer up the dust from the un-vacuum area
-the hose can be little bit longer
-cheap plastic(but at the same time you don't want to pay more?)
-can not be neatly store like upright vacuum due to the design
I respect this brand for those reasons.
I searched to find another DD with the same hearty qualities but the simple little DD with the canvas bag disappeared from the market.
I bought a Eureka touted by Hammacher Schlemmer as the greatest little machine that every sucked up a dust mite; and the motor caught on fire after a couple of light vacuum cleanings.
The DD Featherlight Cyclonic Canister Vacuum compares favorably with my earlier experience, and with major upgrades and, of course, a higher price. (We're taking twenty plus years later so a price increase is expected.)
Well thought out--a Dyson-like canister rotates inside glass-like canister so one can see the dust pulled into it and whirl around--so there is a feeling of accomplishing a task. I also like this canister idea sans fiber germ-breeding dust cup(s) which require(s) constant washing or re buying.
Reading the instructions isn't needed (last resort for most of us when stuff doesn't wrk).
The icon buttons clearly describe what they are there for: e.g. icon for "remove dust canister" push the icon canister releases from the body of the unit, and stays put and in hand until the release button is pushed to release the stuff inside the very ample-sized (I haven't measured it precisely, in pints and quarts, but it's far larger than a dust cup--more like the size of a generous pitcher of lemonade.
So far so good.
