Apparently I'm in the minority with this one. I hate when this happens. I'm going with three stars... yea.
It was okay. Don't get me wrong, it's sexy as hell. The sex is hot. Really it's smut, but there isn't anything wrong with that, right?! That's really the only GREAT thing about this book. I went into this a little ignorant apparently. I thought this was more of a trilogy. No. It's a serial. I hate serials. I've tried. I just can't do it. I find it annoying.
So why am I reading this? Because I thought it was something else, and now I'm too invested in the damn story to stop. It's not really because I LOVE the story. It's more now I have to find out how this all plays out.
I like Holly and Creighton well enough. However, I just feel like this story could be so much more if it was longer with more character and story development. Oh well. Again, this is why I don't read serials.
I believe I will read the next two. Maybe. We will see.
After reading the blurb for this book, I was intrigued. There are plenty of Billionaire books out there but this seemed different enough to grab my attention; and it was. What I didn’t expect was for most of the book to be from Holly’s POV and for her to become the one I empathised with. I think this is a good strategy as Creighton is not an overly likeable man. He is 100% a domineering, dirty talking alpha, so much so, I thought him too dominant and filthy mouthed. I think this could have had an effect on how submissive Holly was in the bedroom. I know she’s meant to be somewhat inexperienced, but she goes from being a reasonably confident, ambitious woman to this meek little thing who bends to his wishes. While she does call him out on the odd occasion, I find it to be a very imbalanced relationship that I couldn’t connect to. I do however think this will improve as the series progresses and their emotions evolve. Despite the connection issue I had, I really enjoyed the storyline and am looking forward to seeing how the series pans out.
Holly Wix is a country singer. After having won a country music competition, she thought her dreams were set....get a record, go on the road, and watch it all rise to the top. Except her record company put a small caveat in her contract, she needs to pretend to be in a relationship for a year with another country singer, to "help" further both their careers. Little did Holly know she'd become the butt of the joke in Nashville, with a "boyfriend" who can't keep things in his pants and out of the tabloids.
Fast foward to Christmas Eve. Holly decides she wants a man for Christmas and allows herself to pick up a one night stand. Little did she know that Creighton Karas, arrogant billionaire playboy, would heed her call in a bar. They both have an explosive night together, but Holly slips away without so much as giving her name to Creighton. Never one to sit idle, Creighton puts out a missed connections ad with one heck of a proposal for Holly. Now Holly must decide if she takes a leap of faith or concedes to her record company's demands?
Dirty Billionaire was a short, steamy and incredibly addicting read. I loved the premise of this and how original it was in it's own way. Holly was a character I could relate to, and I struggled with her as she fought with making her dreams come to life on her own terms. Creighton was a bit more of a mystery, but his need to protect and take care of Holly, even when to himself it's foreign concept to do so, made him that more appealing.Read more ›
Creighton Karas is a man who wants for pretty much nothing, because if he wants it, it is his. When he wakes up after a night with a stranger, Creighton is sort of surprised. Finding his bed partner gone, he decides to go full throttle to find her and get her back in his life. He posts a hugely public missed connection that reaches all heights and waits. He knows she'll come to him.
Creighton's missed connection calls out to Holly in a couple ways. But mostly, he could be the answer to her problems. He could help her get out of her dreadful contract while not losing her chance in the music industry. But is it worth the risks?
This book is full of STEAM, downright DIRTY and HOT moments and an undeniable chemistry between these two. They both struggle with control, He wants it undeniably, and Holly has certain points she's not willing to budge on. I really liked that you could see slight changes in both of their behavior once they really got together and started planning out their futures.
Dirty Billionaire part one brings us some background on both Creighton and Holly and shows us what brings them together and how they began, but it leaves us hanging with the question of what is coming next for these two. Will things work out for them in both professional and personal capacities? I can't wait to find out more in part two.

Normally I stay away from books with Billionaire in the title (been there, done that), and I really shy away from a trilogy. Read more

This was a hot, steamy and quick read. A one night stand on the heroine's part? The target who decides he doesn't want to be just a one night stand? OK. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Sandy Pigott

I floved this book. Sometimes you just want a little (ok a lot) dirty with your storyline and this had dirty in spades. Loved it!Published 1 month ago by 3_for_FLmom
I loved their chemistry! I'm absolutely in love with Creighton! Holly is a bit annoying in her "I'm good enough for myself" ways, but it was overall a good book.Published 1 month ago by Iscaboli
